played this on the way to Anza-borrego to see the milky way (since there is no light pollution) and to check out the metal statues out there. It was a rough year for my friend and I in 2015, but taking a road trip, with this playing in the background was liberating.

Yes, they are Christian

Anberlin isn't technically a Christian band, but a lot of their music has Christian themes. I've been a fan since their Cities album when I first discovered them (so I've been following them for many years), and I think the most accurate label would be alternative rock with Christian influences.

I went through some really hard times and lost myself for a few years. I was just horrible. I was always intoxicated on everything possible when before I had never tried a drug in my life. I stole, I pushed the people that cared for me away in exchange for nothing but low life criminals. This song brings back the emotion I felt when I finally came to and realized what kind of person I became and truly remembered who I was. When ever I feel down I listen to it to help me remember and keep going.

I listened to this song a couple years ago a lot. I played it at this thing I went to. This thing called rehab. Whenever I felt like I wasn't gonna make it, and when I started thinking that it wasn't worth it, this song always brought back everything. I thought the words fit way too perfectly with what I was thinking and going through.

reminds me of the the time with me girlfriend, we broke up tho.

I first found Anberlin on Pandora radio, the song that was playing was Paper Thin Hymn, and so far I have been hocked.

Truly uplifting song. Bands like Anberlin, Relient K and others help us through the day with the positive messages in their songs. Good thing it's not always just about sex, alcohol and shiny cars, though I wouldn't want to miss those things either. XD

I thought Abberlin was okay when I first listened to cities, but I wasn' ta fan of the voice, and I wasn't sold entirely on the alt/punk influence. Hearing this song makes me wish they still sounded like Anberlin. This song is also "okay", but unlike Cities, I can't listen to this and think it sounds unique.

haha well we don't know how old you are so that doesn't tell us much. i agree with you though, they are my fave band as well. their music is the most uplifting and inspiring songs that i know of. nothing hits me harder than an anberlin song.
