I think the meaning behind the pictures being taken is that when you have your picture taken , you always want it to look good and be flattering but these pics are showing what's under the surface - like how the mother daughter one,they look cute now but when the daughter becomes a teen it's going to look different. and this song is about how you can't make some problems instantly go away, it can take some time to get back on your feet again. This is one of my all time favorite songs. Amy sings from the heart.

It may feel like that at times, but go back and look at some of your old pictures and consider all that has changed. You can expect the future to do the same, so if you feel like you are stuck and life is not changing, give yourself a little time.
2. I think the picture burning up, which I take happened to everyone that was handed a picture, is to signify that you have to live in the moment. Our pictures of our past are in the past. The pictures in the video of people's future are for our amusement. What matters is right now. Don't freeze like in those pictures.

Violent video games, etc. that kill zombies, vampires etc. Kids get a mindset where they want to do nothing but see blood. I remember when this song came out, my parents were going through a nasty divorce, I was 7 years old I asked my mom what does it mean to say "to get your feet back on the ground" she replied "sort of what your father is going through right now, he is trying to get his feet back on the ground. I understood the meaning instantly. My father made a lot of mistakes but did end up with his feet back on the ground. <3 this song
