Amy Grant - A Mighty Fortress / Angels We Have Heard On High Lyrics
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o'er the plain
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strain
Gloria
In excellsis deo
Gloria
In excellsis deo
Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing
Come adore on bended knee
Christ, the Lord, the newborn King.

Amy Grant A Mighty Fortress / Angels We Have Heard On High Comments
Is that Eugene Ormandy's arrangement of A Mighty Fortress Is Our God?
I think it is.
It is excellent. Never really saw this as a Christmas song until Amy put it on her first Christmas album. But, I believe this arrangement - along with Shane Keister's piece on this album - REALLY inspired Michael W. Smith and all his AMAZING instrumental Christmas pieces on his albums.
Such a beautiful voice she has. God has given her such a beautiful gift. My father use to love her songs. I play them and I think of him.
