Amos, Tori - Wildwood Lyrics
Wildwood
Poppies
Wildwood
Touch me
The bongo boys in their summoning
The sound seeds now
In the fingers of the eastern breeze
Where the sleepless wait
For her ascent from the perilous pit
She said "The only way to change our fate
It is to make it rain"
Wildwood
Poppies
Touch me
Past the Alders and the Oaks
Through the Willow Grove snakes the Ivy's gift
Which taught you can't escape anguish
But how to live with it
Then reports from the robins
Form in you an inner radiance
It's as if they fused with a spirit you knew
Who's come back again
Wildwood
Poppies
Wildwood
Touch me
Off the pilgrim's path
With the talisman he placed in my hands
With its magic mapped from winter's past
It leads the way
After 3 long months endured with her absent
Over dragon lines we walked the current
A labyrinth
With little green corn shoots
Now in abundance
As the forest celebrates
She says "Make it rain
Wildwood
Poppies
Wildwood
Touch me
Touch me again"

I have listened to Tori, since I was 17. I'm 38, now and her music is still relevant today.
Same! started listening to her music when I was in high school, and now I'm 30 :)
i started listening properly 3 week ago... better late then never i guess.
I was given Little Earthquakes as a gift for either my 13th or 14th birthday (I am 41) I wore the tape out and the same friend bought it for my birthday again the next year.
listen to wildwood is my morning routine before going to medschool. Tai chi for my mind
Tori have to do electronic music,
A full dance album.Something different.
it's not like she hasn't done the electronic/dance thing before.
I have just listened to this 5 times in a row and I'm not done yet.

Tori & Electric Piano [Wurlitzer] <3
This album is a lot more organic and laid back I feel. Kind of like a road-trip soundtrack across the Smokey Mountains watching the sunrise, rivers and lakes and appreciating nature.
The two albums that has this kind of feel for me is this one and Scarlet's Walk. There's something beautiful and nostalgic with this music of the land.
I agree; I’m a really big fan but believe this is her best album she’s put out in years. I did like the ones since Scarlet’s Walk, but I definitely agree this has a similar energy and beauty.
