Sabbath, Alice in Chains??  I don't know, sounds very Pink Floyd(ish) to me. They certainly "shed" their "death vibe". But they are a top notch, grade A band!

This album at times really does have an Alice in Chains vibe in particular to it.

This song always reminds me of Rooster somewhat, due to the similar dynamics and song structure, along with the fact that Pasi sounds a hell of a lot like Layne Staley in this one (but not as much as in Better Unborn)

This song embodies what I love and hate the most about Amorphis: probably the Top 5 intros in all of metal, followed by a slightly above average song and forgettable hook. I could listen to that intro forever though.

the whole album is fabulous. the peak of their career, IMHO, they haven't even come close with any further album (I have not listened closely to the last 2, though), every track (except maybe a couple) in this album is pure GOLD, and makes me chill
