Amorphis' songs are the ones of a kind which takes you to another place if you listen carefully.
That intro...so powerful...gives me chills every time
No doubt it's a fantastic album. But you're doing yourself an inservice by not listening to the later album. Hell, Skyforger their best album, IMO.

I dont think Amorphis have lost it. "The Beginning of Times" is a beautiful album also.. and it is their latest. Still very powerful songs. Some nice gutteral death metal roars too for old times sake also. "Silent Waters" is a beautiful album though....My fave will always be "Tales of the Thousand Lakes"

Agree. Silent Waters is an album so full of inspiration, but after it they seem to have lost it. :( Still, this remains one of my favourite songs ever.

Definitely a stand out song from the excellent 'Silent Waters' album. I think personally this is the best and most interesting album they've done since both 'Tuonela' and Am Universum'.
This is so awesome. Also Still Waters has some of the coolest cover art that I've ever seen.
