Just to answer this question, this is Joel screaming for the majority of this album, this came out in 2005 and he join in 2004. Plus you can tell Strings screams, they have always sounded the same in the early years listen to sleepless winter. Any scream that sounds like that is Ahrens. after this EP String really doesn't scream much with the exception of Dong Wayne on high hopes where there is a screaming duet between the Joel and String and String does the higher screams in that part. Also Joel joined in 2004 this came out in 2005.

Bbbbut then there is screaming and singing at the same time? How did they do live shows? Ahren's voice would be dying from singing and screaming haha

In sleepless winter, there were three people helping out with screaming including Ahren. Whatever this is hurting my brain

Joel wrote this EP right after he joined, all of this happened in 2005. But I guess it's actually screaming.

Jess Zog Joel joined the band in 04 and does the "majority" of screaming on this 05 ep. Ahren does the majority of the singing on this ep. However, Ahren "screams" sometimes when there is no singing and the studio producers can have the screams play on top of the singing and vice versa.

they picked up Joel about a year later of this song coming out, Ahren did the screaming for this

I can assure everyone reading this that it was Ahren doing the majority of the screams in this EP, and he also did some of the screams in the High Hopes EP (listen to Dong Wayne, and there is a clear distinction between Joel and Ahrens vocals in that). It was just that when Ahren recorded this album, he got some other people in the band to do a little bit of the screams whilst he was singing, plus he also overlaid his cleans and his uncleans. Overlaying has happened before, as someone said in some other comment I read on this video, Oli from Bring Me The Horizon used to overlay his vocals, check out literally any of their dethcore songs and you can easily tell this.

So joel was in the first ep???? I couldn't tell it was him because it didn't sound like him at all until I listened to high hopes

Just to clear up things Joel doers the scream on this. I believe there are only two songs where Stringer screams, Sleepless Winter, A Charade Procession and he contributed to the not high pictchced screaming in Atlantic. Any scream that sound just like those are Ahren's anything else is Joel's his voice has changed a lot over the years but a comparison to the vocals form any song in question to Severed Ties should give your answer, though his screams have changed a lot, you can still tell when it is Joel screaming there is something you can just recognize,

Chickenchicken46 WRONG....IT IS JOEL BIRCH SCREAMING.....it even sounds like it, he has a distinctive pitch to his scream.....Ahrens is more low raspy and less high pitch.
