Amity Affliction, The - I Heart Throbsy Lyrics

You'd, give up the world, take on the earth
But you'll falter I can see it in the way
Your tourniquet is bound
Weak as your will at the lowest point

You'd give up your life, just to feel the earth
Fall away beneath your feet again, gasping for breath with a lack of will
The lowest point brought about by you

And they still stand there with their arms outstretched,
and that's how it will be forever more
And on until the ocean, delivers you from your chosen place
Your former contempt for yourself and life as you held it prior

You'd, give up the word
To take on the earth
But you'll falter I can see it in the way
Your tourniquet is bound
Weak as your will at the lowest point

You'd give up your life, just to feel the earth
Fall away beneath you feet again, gasping for breath with a lack of will
The lowest point brought about by you

Oh, you'd give up the world
Just to feel the earth fall away beneath your feet,
but I'll wait right here for you

You'd give up the world, but the world is here,
waiting for you to outstretch your arms
Waiting with bated breath, for you to realise,
that you're worth more than the value you've placed on yourself
You're worth more than that value..

You'd give up the world, but the world is here
Waiting for you to outstretch yours arms
Waiting with bated breath, for you to realise
You're worth more than the value you've placed on yourself
You're worth more than the value, you've placed on yourself

  1. J.... O....

    so perfect words, guys

  2. A.... ....

Cool integration of electronic sounds into the song.

  3. B.... A....

This band's cleans sounded more creative back then, now their cleans sounds one dimensional

    B.... A....

Idk what you mean by cleans but i think the same thing about their new songs - one dimensional, especially the vocals tbh just generic melodies to it. Old albums were more complex

    B.... A....

    @Clutch7 ahrens singing

  4. L.... O....

omg, how is it that I just found this right now?

    L.... O....

    The nostalgia is real.

Despite what some people say, this is one of their best albums, it's better than LTOTM and TCBHB

Andre Vass yep i would listen to this on repeat all throughout yr 11 and 12 the teachers would always ask what i was listening too so i showed them they all said that the devils music(i went to a christain school) until i showed one of my new yr 12 teachers who had just started at the school and said he listens to them frequently and was waiting on their next album

  11. A.... A....

    what are those! XD

  12. b.... b....

    Shit album... good song

    b.... b....

+billy bob agreed, all their other stuff is good, this song was amazing but the whole album was meh

    b.... b....

+KMSCovers As if, 15 Pieces of Flare, Snicklefritz, R.I.P Steggy and Cut It Out is sooooo good, like they have a reference from The Butterfly Effect in Cut It Out!

    b.... b....

    +IMABEAST696969er Agreed..

I enjoy the raw passion and lyrics that their early stuff brings. It comes off as rough and unrefined to some people, and I understand that, but you cannot look at me with a straight face and say this is shit given the connections and opportunities they DID NOT have back then.

This is the modern equivalent of Beethoven's 5th symphony, and I will stand firmly with that statement. High Hopes will FOREVER be the greatest music they release.

    b.... b....

+Oh MrPib I do love the raw intensity on the early material of Severed Ties, Glory Days and Youngbloods, but I love the new stuff equally. And that's what makes them so good, they have consistently released excellent material :)

  13. C.... P....

This was the worst album that AA has released, but this was one of the few half decent songs on there.

    C.... P....

This was actually a great first ep and they have progressed a long way since then. This ep didn't leave my rotation for a long time.

    C.... P....

Man your fried the five songs of high hopes are like five of the best songs they ever made

    C.... P....

I find this to be my favorite album of theirs. Odd that someone would have such strong dislike for it. What's your favorite?

    C.... P....

man I love it too , I love the band and their new sound is also good , but this album and severed ties are for me their best work , even the features in severed ties like jj peters and crafter are golden , I just wish they would make an anniversary tour for it , because I know they wont play those albums live anymore .

    C.... P....

I loved all their songs too but I find myself listening to the new stuff a little more. Ahren is much more soothing in the newer ones I find (that's not me saying stuff before is bad.) To each their own people who are commenting! I have my own opinion as I just said and so does he and so do you. So don't attack for him having one that differs.
