Played a gig with these guys like years and years ago. I remember hanging out with them in a green room (for like 20 minutes) and thinking how awesome it was to be around them.
These guys changed the metal scene in Australia, they where a huge influence on so many bands at the time.

This film clip was recorded at like 3 in the afternoon in a dive pub in Brisbane that's now a jamie oliver restaurant (RIP rosies), it was free to show up and be in the crowd. They played this 3 or 4 times, couple more songs then hit the beers haha. Seeing them play in arenas to thousands of people at $60 a ticket is unreal. Well done Amity.

I can appreciate that TAA didn't completely change their style like many metal bands do when they become mainstream, like BMTH for example, but anyone who has listened to Severed Ties simply can't argue that they dumbed down their music heaps. You simply can't beat their early shit like Snitches Get Stitches, they put so much more effort into those songs.

I wish the newer Amity songs haven't auto-tuned the shit out of Ahren's voice, it sounds too whiny because of it now. Don't get me wrong, they're still great and I still love Ahren, but his voice in this is so much more natural and emotional, he sounds so much better live. They don't need to auto tune him as much as they do in the newer songs, as he naturally has great vocals in my opinion. Anyway I'll always love Amity.

Ahren's a smoker, so he's started to lose his range which means they have to do a lot of production to make his voice sound higher on the newer albums. I still love all their music though
