i do not have twitter

i fucking wish. i have no clue. im terrible at any of the intricate mixing stuff, i just do my best & try and get lucky. all i can say is make sure to always carve the frequencies you dont need (deep lows, high-highs, etc). eq is all about taking away, making space, not adding. dont push any frequency unless absolutely necessary, but rather figure out how to carve space out of other tracks EQ (like guitar, here, and keys/pads) for the vocal to 'sit" in. brighten it a little if you need to,depending on mic, etc. look for "trouble spots" by making a really really tight tiny band & pushing it as high as it goes & moving it around to see where the track "squeals", then subtly balancing out those sounds for a cleaner sounding vocal. for effects? no clue. i like a lil reverb, a lil really really fast delay that mimics reverb too, a lot of play with stereo-imaging sometimes, either widening or (more likely) squashing so that multiple tracks can co-exist & double-track (like elliott smith, style, and harmonies too) without weird phasing issues or muddiness etc. wish i could help more. i do try to keep things pretty simple. dont compress too much, it's all gonna get a lil squished when mastered anyway
