Loved this band then and I still love them.

I know this song came out in 1978 only five years after I was born...but I love it!! If you listen to the lyrics closely it's about two people who were in love but she thinks he cheated when he actually didn't!! So he let's her go because he loves her so much and down the line they both realize they both are better off friends even though they still love each other!!😃❤💋

First time I heard David Pack (especially the beginning of this song), I though he was a "brother"). He's soulful as heck!!

My most listened to song ever in my mind and speaker, also the saddest song ive ever heard as far as relationships go.

You never realize just how good you had it until you don't have it any more. Damn my generation back then we had the best of the best when it came to real feel good music. None of this auto-tunes garbage - no cursing - no overly sexual BS just plain relax your mind from a hard day's work - good music.

Wow. These songs are all still so beautiful and powerful in comparison to today's disposable, hollow, vapid pop music releases. Lately I've been devouring 70's pop music and have been really noticing a trend I'd never picked up on as being so obvious before. That being that white lite rock bands were literally stealing black soul songs and rewriting them not even a year or two later. This is such a lift off Al Wilson's "Show and Tell" so much so that when I hear them both at first I can't tell which is which at first. Then there's Orlean's beautiful "Dance With Me" which is a note perfect rip of Love Unlimited's "Love's Theme" instrumental. They simply wrote lyrics for the string melodies. Hardly anything else has been changed. The great thing is in most cases I love both songs and don't care about the similarities. The music from this era is pure magic. Like a qualuude and a time machine at once. Love's Theme sounds AMAAAAAZING on vinyl coming out of BIG speakers at a nice loud volume. Like a caress to the soul.
