When my girlfriend showed me this song I almost cried, because she was one of my more distant friends and was throwing herself at me for 3 years and I was looking everywhere else. I was oblivious to her. This really hurt me, because I ignored every signal. Now she is the one I want to marry and my only regret is not looking right in front of me sooner. This is one of my favorite songs now because I understand every lyric.
