I remember how matthew Knowles, Beyonce's father and manager when she was in Destiny's Child was saying how colorism/racism is huge in the industry. The budget he was given to help promote white or light skinned artists in comparison to black or dark skinned artists was crazy different. I think that is what has happened to Amara, sadly. She's crazy talented, has great stage presence... But due to colorism, and due to the fact that she isn't afraid to talk about colorism in the music industry, they are sabotaging her music career when it just got started. She needs to get behind a record label company that knows how to PROPERLY promote a dark skinned woman as far as visuals, m/v productions, music/sound. She deserves the best.

Honestly, I’m in love with the beat. I love the vibe. There’s a lot of energy in this song. Verse 1 was a great start but, tbh if you’re gonna write a song about taking someone’s man you’re gonna need to come harder. Verse 2 needed some work & I feel like either you needed to extend your verses or add about 1 or 2 more. This song could have been a minute longer. I thought the hi hoe bridge was really cute tho. I might have arranged its placement a little different but, I’ll give this song 3/5.
