Alpha Rev - Colder Months Lyrics

I put on my usual
Pack a picture from my cubicle
All I can think about is you
I'm still bleedin'
I'm still bleedin'

Took the L to Union Square
Watched the pretty girls comb their hair
They turn away as I turn and stare
I'm still bleedin'
I'm still bleedin'

These thoughts of pain
Don't make a sound
They keep us hidden
In the lost and found
These colder months, wincing social graces
We keep with us, these fallen faces

Took a call from an old, old friend
Out of money, in jail again
I posted bail and took him in
I'm still bleedin'
We're both bleedin'

These thoughts of pain
Don't make a sound
They keep us hidden
In the lost and found
These colder months, wincing social graces
We keep with us, these fallen faces
We keep with us, these fallen faces

These thoughts of pain
They'll make a sound
To keep us hidden
In the lost and found
In these colder months, wincing social graces
We keep with us, these fallen faces

Don't make a sound
They keep us hidden in the lost and found
These colder months, wincing social graces
We keep with us
We keep with us, these fallen faces

I've taken the L train for most of my life and was once deemed to 'lack social graces' >> that's what I love about this song.....not only does it bring back memories of loneliness, but it does so with GUSTO

    amazing song!

I just broke up with my gf, and this song describes exactly how I feel. If anyone ever has to feel like this, remember that you couldn't be this sad if you weren't happy before, so cherish those memories.

People always say artist like Alpha Rev should be more known or famous in some cases but i love them just the way they are. Undercover. because the more known you become your music starts to change a little but i think they're music is absolutely beautiful with powerful lyrics and hey I'm stingy so i don't mind keeping them to myself and a thousands of others, not millions! lol

3 dislikes? I think those people pressed the dislike by accident. I don't know who could ever dislike this song.

@savvoraful I saw Alpha Rev in Nashville in 2010 and after they played their third song (sans drummer), I yelled out from the balcony, "Don't be a coward! Show us your soul!" I was drunk at the time and, yes, I know it was an asshole thing to do, but he looked up, nodded in acknowledgment, and proceeded to play this song and it blew everyone's mind the passion he threw into his performance. After the show, I revealed myself and he thanked me for the push. June, 2010. Great show!

I like knowing what songs were written about. It makes them seem more real.
