I've given up on these sellouts for good. For fuck's sake, I have a death metal background, and even I loved everything up to and including The Fall of Ideals for the fusion of metal with clever melody. But come the fuck on, even Bullet For My Valentine's The Poison kicks this album's ass in terms of originality and creativity, and that album was run of the mill as fuck! I gave them a couple of years to figure out what they were doing wrong before giving anything new a listen.
They really let me down.

I think the typos in the lyrics are what really make this so magical.

Have you ever heard of All That Remains? Pre-Overcome (2008 release) is considered one of the defining Metalcore acts, in fact The Fall of Ideals is considered one of the best albums in the Metalcore genre.
I'll admit they lost the spark they once had, but it's not fair to talk shit on them like you actually know what you're talking about when clearly you've only heard their new shit.

A big difference in sound between those bands and this. If ATR ever wants to use the trve kvlt title they'll need to go with lo-fi recording and actually create guitar riffs, not the same rehashed metalcore riffs.

+ChipmunkAsylum Trivium sounds far more original. Only their early album Ascendancy (year 2005) sounds a bit like the thousands simillar metalcore bands out there. But that's because of too much of those bands have created this stuff after 2005. Ascendancy was something new in 2005.

What?? The veterans of modern metal probably are sick of everyone else writing the same thing they do so they move a different direction. Pay closer attention to these bands. AILD listen to Forever, Sound of Truth, My Own Grave. All Metalcore, but different. ATR Six, Some of the People All of the Time, Fuck Love. Trivium Like Light to Flies, Caustic are the Ties That Bind, The Wretchedness Inside. Bullet for My Valentine Hand of Blood, Waking the Demon, Raising Hell... All just examples of how they have all changed the structure to less generic and are still dominant over it whether it's recognized or not.

I hope no one thinks this comes close to The Fall of Ideals. Phil's vocals are offbeat as fuck on the verses and don't fit the song at all. Also his lyrics are awful now. The fire and intensity in their sound is also just gone now. Every time I listen to The Fall of Ideals, by the end of it all I can say is "wow". Still blown away by it. I don't feel anything from this. No Knock also sucks. Just heavy for the sake of being heavy. No substance.
