All 4 One - Could This Be Magic Lyrics

could this be magic
my dear, my heart's all aglow
could this be magic
loving you so
could this be magic
my dear, having your love
my prayers were answered
so far from above
i thought that it could be
just a memory
to linger, my heart in pain
but to my surprise
i opened up my eyes
and i'm with you here in my arms again

could this be magic
my dear, having your love
my prayers were answered
so far from above

could this be magic
have your love
if this is magic
then magic is mine

i thought that it would be
just a memory
to linger, my heart in pain
but to my surprise
i opened up my eyes
and i'm with you here in my arms again

could this be magic
my dear having your love
if this is magic
then magic is mine
could this be magic
then magic is mine

I was in the Air Force in England in the early1960s and sang with a 5 member acapella doo wop group, 4 black guys and me; called ourselves The Hi-lites. We sang at all the base clubs (Airman, NCO, & Officers). We were even invited to entertain at a couple of the local RAF Bases and some clubs in Great Yarmouth and Norwich. Our leader & Bass singer sang with a New York group called The Six Teens who had a single hit “A Casual Look”. One our most requested songs was Could This be Magic which we did much like All 4 One, even changed the lyrics in the second verse just like they did. Great memories of the time spent with those guys. Wish I knew they are and if they’re still around.

The Dubs originally recorded this song

This song was originally recorded in 1957 on Gone Records by The Dubs featuring U.S. Air Force Veteran Richard Brandon on lead vocals. The Dubs were one of the best groups of all time but, like many other Doo Wop groups, so under appreciated.
