Well figuring this was done in 2013, rather than the album with the song on it came out in like 2000 or so, I would hope his vocals would improve over that time. All in all, this is a great sound for a old song of theirs.

i'm sorry you misunderstood. it's an obvious fact they played this song live. but technically speaking they did record each instrument individually, mixed and edited the performance, which absolutely includes pitch correcting their voices, and then re-synced it (dubbed) it back over the original video.

It's there, but the guitar really sounds louder than the bass, which usually is easy to be perceived in the alkaline trio mix.

i've heard them do it original tuning recently. it's still just as good. he could have just been having an off day.. it happens.

Probably to do with their voices getting lower. Doubt the vocals would've been that good if it was in the original tuning.

There's def something helping him here but I've seen his performance improve a lot lately.

I didn't say This Addiction was safe, nor MSIT, I meant the vocals weren't over ambitious ('Help Me' is a prime example) for his range and age. No doubt he did well here and on the new album, but I still think he's got help here.

I don't watch too many Live videos but if you're referring to albums, My shame is true was much more 'safe' for Skiba.. compare it to Agony & Irony where he's all over the shop.

Yes, I´m pretty sure they´re both using some vocal fixing live, watch the performance on The grammys, he sounds too good .

I really like the mixing on this video, but I wish I had heard the bass a little better. From what I could tell listening through my laptop speakers, there was a lot of guitar, a fair amount of drums, and a good balance between Matt and Dan's vocals, but I couldn't hear Dan's bass at all. It's a little bit better through headphones, but not by much.

It's a shame: "Cringe" is my favorite Trio song but all the live videos I've seen of it that are "pro audio" sound like crap. =\

There is no way Skiba can sing that good. Autotune, but it was a good performance.
