There was a time when I listened to a lot of Led Zeppelin, and I never would have believed I would ever be listening to bluegrass. But I did come to love bluegrass, all because of Alison Krauss. This duo was even more unlikely, but .... I guess nothing is absolute, and I should never assume anything.

I was totally surprised to listen Plant and Krauss singing together...Absolutely best duo in many years. There´s chemistry between them. Love them all! Says Led Zeppelin fan from Finland. I must listen more Aliosn Krauss music. Her voice is magical beautiful!

This album came out when I was in year 3 of a slow break-up after 18 years together as a couple. It was medicine to me.

This song has probably gotten the closest of any that isn't One More Day or Feed The Birds to actually making me cry.

9 months ago we played this song at the funeral service of my only child. Nathan was only 13.

I'm sorry to be a party pooper because I love both of these musicians but the producers of this album ruined Plant's voice with excessive pitch correction and it's a tragic flaw in my opinion. I can't not hear it.

Dude, offer an opinion somewhere that doesn't include the greatest rock voice, very seasoned producers, and pitch perfect Alison Krauss...I'm pretty sure they all listened and APPROVED the sound before it went out....We don't need another friggin Streisand perfectionist...

My mum had been terminally ill with cancer for a long time but despite all her pain and suffering had continued to put everybody else before herself and had put all her affairs in order and left instructions on what was to happen when she passed away. Typical mum! She also picked out poems to be read and music to be played and told us all that rather than mourn her passing, we were to celebrate her life. Again, typical of mum. One of the pieces of music she chose was this beautiful song. I listened to it for the very first time as I stood with my dad, my brother and my sisters and watched mums coffin disappear from view for a final time. It was one of the saddest moments of my life but it was always one of the most precious because I knew that mum was no longer in pain and was finally at rest. I love mum. I miss my mum. I always will.

When I heard that Alyson Krauss was doing an album with Robert Plant, I thought she must be losing her mind. But my mind was changed when I first heard the music. They harmonize like a sister and brother, and the choice of songs is perfect. "Your Long Journey" brought tears to my eyes, thinking of my Dad. Thank you Alyson and Robert.

It was a stroke of genius by whoever planned this album, her fan base doubled over night.... I am a 58yo with hundreds of albums but somehow never heard of this angel with 28 Grammys before she did this duet album.

+missmyvinny It happens when people die it really sucks. There are really only a few that carry on the love that is needed. You sound like a n amazing mom engaging in learning music with your son. Thats one of the best memories of my mother that I have. She died over 15 years ago so hearing your story definitely makes me feels the connection we all have. She got me into Queen, Prince, Lynyrd Skynyrd which led to Zeppelin and the list goes on. See what I did there, remember them always! Music is one of the only true medicines that can heal you wounds of sorrow and coming here listening to this duo for the first time it has humbly brought me down to realize I got some listening to do!
