Wonderful song - never heard this one before.  LOVE.

I have seen Alison Krauss and her remarkable Union Station Band 3 times... the last in Ct in 99 or 2000. All 3 times, this was their finale... 2 of those they did acapella which was so awesome. Alison is a gen U ine phenom and I became a bluegrass fan when I was taken to that first concert. I thought it would be too “heehaw” and though they did make corny jokes, they were actually laugh out loud funny. I wasn’t a believer in Christ in those days, but that acapella finale was emotional and I left speechless and without some of the stupid prejudice I had only 3 hrs earlier.

Durand Jensen... I really appreciate your response. I apologize for taking so long to answer but I had the flu for a week. So... did Alison Krauss lead me to Jesus... and was I born again after the first time I heard that song? I have to break your question down. As to the big picture... I suppose if you want to be technical... the short guy who plays acoustic guitar wrote the song and if we gain faith by hearing God’s Word, then I would say that if Alison Krauss and Union Station have anything to do with it, it would be as a seed planter at first. However... I had been a fan of theirs years before I saw them in concert and though I could have quoted the lyrics... it would not have been with the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit.

I was born again on June 13th, 1993. It happened in the basement of the home I was renting in Valley Cottage, NY. I was alone. The pressure on my life was very intense and I was facing having to fight a lengthy custody battle for my daughter... which a year later would actually happen.
