Alison Krauss - It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference Lyrics
Do you remember the last time I said
If I ever thought of lying
I'd rather think of dying instead
And the last time you called me
To say we were through
Just to prove they all were for you
But it wouldn't have made any difference,
If you loved me
How could you love me
When it wouldn't have made any difference,
If you loved me
You just did not love me
'Cause I know of hundreds of times I could be
That you always picture me
Though I can't always show proof I was true
No one else could change my mind
Or stop me coming home to you
But it wouldn't have made any difference,
If you loved me
How could you love me
When it wouldn't have made any difference,
If you loved me
You just did not love me
Enough to believe me
Enough not to leave me
Enough not to look for
A reason to be unhappy with me
And make me regret ever wanting you
It wouldn't have made any difference
Wouldn't have made any difference

ITS NOT JUST A BLUE MOON , LOVE
Now u got it
Great version of a beautiful song! Thank you for sharing this!
Looked up the piano chords for Todd and found this.. Glad people love Todd songs and sing them
Beautiful song written by Todd Rundgren and beautifully performed by Alison.......
Just pure beauty! Voice and photos!
its a shame she forgot where she came from and the music teacher who taught her. even the school even through she did not graduate
Best female singer on the planet to my ears, such deapth and emotion in her voice, just incredible.
Alison has been so good for so long, I wonder if we fail to appreciate her like we should.
This is what it means to be a professional musician.
Nice cover of Todd Rundgren's uber ability to write a song that goes straight to your heart!!
le charme a l'état pur , le romantisme de cette chanteuse est incroyable
Alison is <3
One of the most beautiful women ever made, in every possible way. Her voice, her songwriting ability, her instrumentalism, nevermind the incredible musical talent that's not only surrounded her, but i'd wager was DRAWN to her in a kind of animal magnetism. Oh, and she's also pretty! Alison Krauss is the whole package and more. Talent is unsure how to spell her name.
She could sing happy birthday it,t be beatuiful
This song was written by Todd Rundgren in 1972 on his album Something/Anything
@walkerbrothersmusic I know, and he is very good, but he's not Alison Krauss.
I love both:)
i don't like it is mellow and cheesy...but i love the todd's song
What are you an idiot?
It doesn’t make any difference what you think....see what I did there
Can we still be friends? See what...oh, never mind...
Voice of an Angel.
The pictures and the photography here are the best I've seen on any of the Alison sites. They capture her beauty and the subtle aspects of her personality and character perfectly. The visual display you have put together here is wonderful. Much appreciated.
Contestants on TV singing shows should be made to hear this version. Perfect example of a great voice NOT oversinging the song, just letting it's beauty shine through. Well done
@Alan Beavers Amen! Like a plumber or a carpenter, you have to see the experts before enter the field. If you have the talent, then go for it. But don't be down because that field is so crowded.
Well, for one thing Alison's a white girl who's not trying to sound black. That helps.
Greatness and beauty all in one package. Simply wonderful. And doing Todd's prefect song just makes this a song I can listen to over and over.
wow this version is sweet but not sugary sweet. i love it
Wow this is amazing I never heard this song before I don't think.
It is a Todd Rundgren song
And if you don't know Todd, you have a ginormous wealth of great music to listen to and discover!
I would like to see her and Todd Rundgren work together!
Your comment gave me chills!!! Would be so amazing!!!
Great idea. Todd is working on White Knight 2, so I hope he has heard this and has written something in anticipation.
Excellent idea!
I'm a huge Todd fan, and this cover really does the song justice.
I've wondered what Karen Carpenter could haver done with this.
@-Alan Hopewell Wow! I was just thinking the same thing. Karen would have torn this song up into a monster hit, especially if Richard would have arranged it with all those over lapping vocals he was so famous for.
+austin teutsch yes,I wish Karen were still with us
Karen Carpenter and Alison Krauss are two of my favorite singers ever! I'd like to hear Alison Krauss do a bluegrass version of This Masquerade.
I'm a Todd freak from way back. Alison could sing anything she wants. I'll listen and like. SO THERE
Always liked Alison Kraus and Todd is my favorite artist, performer, songwriter all time so finding this version is pretty damn cool. Still like Tr's better. The lyrics describe events many of us have lived through; fear, distrust and betrayal. Sucks being human sometimes, but songs like this can certainly help.
beyond beautiful
perfect voice for this song
Classic.. :)
Long time ago Jim...
Who is Eric Cope?
Thank You, Alison for a beautiful Todd song :) You have made me smile as well~~~
This is an amazing song but its a particularly poor version. A very sterile lifeless sound.
beautiful song & beautiful Alison
one of my favorite, thanks a lot
I wish Alison Krauss would do a album of Eric Cope's songs.
She is so beautiful.
Hello People also covered it.
actually, this was a piano ballad, & todd's vocals & piano playing were the main events of the recording; his guitar playing really took a back seat on the original track...
I bet Tony doesent even remember.
un son et une voix magnifique
beautiful song
godly...............
@rwwagsneb You're right - she does the whole "breathy" thing. Peace and Love - Sus
wow!, now this is how you cover a song, amazing!
love this
i can't belive that this song has only 5 k views.
@rwwagsneb HA! Wish I could have seen that!! People just don't get TR sometimes...
It's rare for me to prefer a cover version to the original, but Alison Krauss performs this song beautifully, perfectly capturing the mood of one of Todd Rundgren's best compositions. What a voice!
Beautiful rendition of Todd Rundgred's music! Alison has a magical voice!
Terrific song TR, but Allison came along and made it right.
I love Alison Krauss - I think she has the most exquisite voice in Country music - but this just doesn't work.
Maybe with far less orchestration....or a mute button.
Wow, one of my all-time faves, even better!
Thanks for all the great pics
wonderful version of Todd Rundgren's great song.
Better than todd !
But no! Just different.
I absolutely love Alison Krauss!
