Alison Krauss - Dreaming My Dreams With You Lyrics

I hope that I won't be that wrong anymore
I hope that I've learned this time
I hope that I find what I'm reaching for
The way that it is in my mind

Someday I'll get over you
I'll live to see it all through
But I'll always miss
Dreaming my dreams with you

I won't let it change me
Not if I can
I'd rather believe in love
And give it away
As much as I can
To those that I'm fondest of

Someday I'll get over you
I'll live to see it all through
But I'll always miss
Dreaming my dreams with you

Someday I'll get over you
I'll live to see it all through
But I'll always miss
Dreaming my dreams with you

Alison Krauss Dreaming My Dreams With You Comments
  1. N.... p....

    Sing to my soul Alison!!!

  2. k.... ....

I love every song they touch, just incredible. My little babies are now 11 years old, but i still dream my dreams with them and this music. I WILL get a dobro and learn to play it someday, awesome.

  3. M.... ....

This speaks straight to my heart.... it really is not Country and Western.. it's a song so true of love lost and the meaning of life (even if you can't remember your password)

  4. G.... D....

She has the voice of an angel.

  5. f.... ....

This came out about the time I got divorced, helped me cry over it.

  6. R.... W....

Da geht einem nicht nur das Herz auf, lol. Very great song!!!!

  7. R.... W....

    So schön kann Musik sein!!!!!

  8. k.... ....

Yeah, nobody else's version has Jerry Douglas so they all just lose. I love Waylon's version, but that's as close as it gets. How can you touch all that dobro? Can't.

  9. D.... M....

great voice.but waylon was the king of this song.fureys done a very good version too.

  10. B.... A....

Can't beat the version by The Fureys! Great Irish lilt to the song! Search for it!

  11. g.... ....

beautifully sung by  a perfectly talented singer, and I dedicate this song to my beautiful daughter Nina Szarek, whom I could only reach in my dreams...

  12. J.... M....

who would give this a thumbs down? really? No matter what singer you like - Allison Krause is pretty darn awesome. Thumbs down? Really? C'mon!

    J.... M....

Joshua Mervis Because their so used to no talent whores who can't carry a tune like Taylor Swift they don't know what a REAL! voice sounds like!

    J.... M....

    Probably just out of spite

    J.... M....

Joshua Mervis Probably because she changed the chord progression on the first verse, second bar of the song. I’ve listened to many versions and this is the only one that does that. All other versions I’ve heard make that chord change on the fourth bar.

  13. S.... B....

    Lol,*two,darn it!

  14. S.... B....

I would never be able to dream my dreams with anyone but you. They would n't be MY dreams if they didn't have us together,in a big house with our kids and families and pets, and noise and chaos, and food and laughter and us just still so damn crazy about each other...living the life so full of possibilities and beauty that we created...all because teo people fell in love!

  15. k.... ....

Nobody has ever made claim to this song, but as far as I'm concerned, it belongs to Alison Krauss, Union Station, and my  beautiful baby girls. They're now 7, but still babies as far as I'm concerned, and I will always dream my dreams with them, my little darlings...love this song, and so do they.

  16. C.... ....

I prefer Collin Raye's version, but this is good too.

    C.... ....

    +Cpruett1 No

  17. k.... ....

Seriously, if I called Verizon and got Alison Krauss, and not some Indian guy, I probably wouldn't want to burn down their buildings and strangle everyone that ran out. Customer service lines could learn from this. Don't play modern shit-pop music, put on AKUS and people won't hate you so much. I might even make it through a DMV line with the right music.

    k.... ....

this is a bigoted response---those who follow the violent killing of civilians are condemned in the Koran and have nothing to do with the Muslim faith---they are a violent offshoot, such as happened in Christianity, Judaism and many religions---violence is violence, not religion.....so stop such prejudiced comments

  18. k.... ....

Yeah, between her voice and the fantastic instrumentals, especially Jerry Douglas on the dobro, this version is unbeatable, and it's damn hard to beat Waylon at anything, but I think there's an edge here. Nobody else need apply, seriously.

  19. c.... l....

I love this song by Alison Krause. Such a pure, sweet voice.

  20. k.... ....

I hear Jamey Johnson did a good version, wrong. As I suspected, new country blows. Waylon is/was awesome. Alison Krauss and Union station are incredible and brought a new dimension to this song. New country just fagged it all up and it pisses me off. When they write their own songs they suck, but at least they don't screw up other people's good songs. Think they should just stop making country music, delete the last 5-10 years and play all the decent stuff that came out before. There's been some good music done in recent years but it's far from the majority, and of course there was some crap done a while ago too, but same rules apply.

    k.... ....

Mary Gauthier wrote a great song, "I Drink" on "Mercy Now."

  21. A.... G....

so sweet , so sad.....love it so much....

  22. Z.... ....

Get's you in a good mood

  23. P.... M....

Many thanks for the posting I would like to dedicate this song to our lost daughter. It helps somewhat to relieve the pain

  24. K.... S....

beautiful lyrics, beautiful voice, beautifully played

  25. K.... P....

Thanks for being there and keeping us free, my Dad was a soldier in WW2 so I love soldiers and thank you every day for our freedom. We celebrate Anzac Day here in Oz on the 25th of this month. I hate wars, but understand them, thank you for doing what you do. I love the saying if you can read, well done, if you can read it in english, thank soldier! Bless you, and this is a beautiful song x

  26. D.... T....

pure gold,,with the sadness in voice to make a iraqi vet long for someone he dont even know...

  27. A.... C....

love this song great version lovely voice :)

  28. k.... ....

why look for a different version? i listened to Waylon's, because he's the original, and i love Waylong Jennings, but you just can't compete with the voice of an angel. i will not listen to any other version, ever. especially when you consider the instrumentals in this version, there's no contest.

  29. K.... W....

    Love love love it!

  30. T.... C....

This is best, that is best - pointless arguments. I guarantee you that all the singers mentioned appreciate one another more than the so-called fans.

"Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except the best." Henry Jackson van Dyke

  31. M.... G....

Alison Krauss : the best female voice on earth ! what a lovely voice and such a beautiful song ! goosebumps !!

  32. l.... b....

    Marianne Faithfull version is better.

  33. k.... ....

going to listen to waylon's version, screw the rest, but i don't think anyone in the world sounds better than allison. she could sing damn near anything and it'd sound better than damn-near anyone's version. hands down. i'll duel for that statement if anyone would like to take me up on that one.

  34. H.... N....

Waylon recorded it first....period...best version...only version, the only one who even comes close is Jamey Johnson...check you facts!

  35. b.... ....

@KurtSmurf you are absolutely entitled to your opinion, but i completely disagree. I listened to Raye's version and there is simply no comparison! Raye has a good voice. Alison has an AMAZING voice

  36. R.... M....

This is very good. For yet another version look out Jools Holland and Eno??? it is quite surprising

  37. b.... ....

So ,So beautiful.....This wonderful artist is clearly heavan sent...its just stunningly beautiful ..what a gift she has ..God bless her now and always

  38. P.... M....

Alison, you astonish me every time you pose for a photographer and even more so when you open your mouth and praise God.

  39. P.... o....

This has Dolly Parton and Lyle Lovett on backing vocals. Lovely.

  40. T.... ....

    The best since Waylon.

  41. K.... F....

this is a nice version, but i much prefer collin rayes version...its much more soothing, gentle and heartfelt.

  42. t.... ....

This is the best version ever of this song. Period.

  43. T.... O....

@kaliemarie13 haha o wow kalie u would lol

  44. A.... M....

Waylon did it best (my opion) - but, the different versions of the same song are great, the music was a little different each time - Susan Anton was a little up beat - it's just a great song ......I hope a lot of people do the song....
    Albert (Ventura, Ca)

  45. v.... ....

the best break up song to tell u to move on....sigh! someday, collin i'll get over u.

  46. E.... S....

AUS DEM SOLOALBUM "Forget about it"

  47. b.... ....

This was a career song for Waylon Jennings. I wore out my copy of it. But anything Alison touches turns to stellar beauty. I HOPE WE'RE TURNING YOUR HEAD ALISON!

  48. g.... ....

Nice but so good as Waylon's or Marianne Faithfull's. Alison's voice is too high for this song.

  49. w.... ....

Memo to the people who put this vdo up this song was recoreded in the early 70 s and was his favorite song but if you knew anything about country music you'd know that and oh by the way this COVER of Waylon's song is not good

  50. h.... ....

Nice job but this song belongs to Waylon

  51. C.... M....

Richard, Some Day I wll Get over you..

  52. y.... ....

    GARBAGE???? YOU'RE AN IDIOT

  55. b.... ....

My fervent wish is that we have many more years of listening to her gorgeous voice. I think her best is yet to come!

  56. C.... H....

Lovely number. Nice guitar work. Greetings to one and all from Jarrahnut (Colin) in wonderful Western Australia.

  57. J.... M....

Marianne Faithfull's version is the best.

  58. n.... s....

they are both good but I prefer crystal gayle.

  59. F.... D....

Beautiful, just beautiful. Now I cannot decide which is a better version, this or Crystal Gayle's1

  60. J.... R....

Excellent voice and sung beautifully! A top performance!!

  61. c.... ....

    Wonderful

  62. n.... ....

Fuck, I hate this country shit.

  63. t.... ....

The Fureys have recorded a great version of this song.

  64. G.... S....

very nice, but waylon did it best ever

  65. a.... ....

She does a great version of this song. Can't argue with that.

  66. M.... S....

This is beautiful-shared and in my favs. 5***** Thanks for sharing.

  67. J.... S....

No where near as good as Colleen Hewitt's original............

  68. a.... ....

I love this... it's different from Martina McBride's version, which has a bit more "edge" to it, but I love them both in different ways. Thanks for posting.

  69. y.... ....

is this on an album? Which one? LOVE IT!!!

  70. L.... K....

Lovely song. Only ever heard the Waylon version, but I gotta admit, it sounds great sung by a woman, too! Nice one
