William Duvall can hit high notes that Jerry Cantrell cannot. But, Jerry never highlights William’s powerful voice. I think that he’s worry about becoming overshadowed once again by a strong vocalist. I’ve seen them live with William covering classic AlC songs and William can hit a lot of the high notes they used to put in their music. It’s a shame they don’t go back to that. New Alice In Chains is just Jerry Cantrell‘s solo projects now with the AIC name.

This video is a Perfect allegory or marriage and then divorce.

its hard to get used to a band after losing a guy with the voice like Layne

Layne said in rooster "Seems every path leads me to nowhere" and in this Jerry says "No one plans to take the path that brings you lower" wow that's just cool. I always look for these kind of things this is really cool I don't know if it was a nod to Layne but idk that just seems to be to much of a coincidence. But I could totally see it being something that just happened to be.

I'm sorry but "seems every path leads me to nowhere" is not a phrase from Layne's point of view. The song was written by Jerry to his father who fought in Vietnam, so it's like his dad said that...I mean, it's a different context
