And I believe it's true. I discovered AIC ten years ago, after Nirvana, and well I must say AIC influencd me more than I can say. It's completely true. Remove AIC from my life and I'm completely lost.

Did these dudes take choir in school? Lol. When people try and compare others to AIC- Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, one of the big things that sets AIC apart is their harmonizing. Imo Laynes individual talent is bigger than all the rest , but none of fhem have Jerry, and the combo those two make. The pitch and tones they mix are so remarkable. I can't hear any AIC song now without always hearing both of them and the unique sound they bring to a song. Wether it's Layne dominating or Jerry coming in alone, it's just so ingenious the way they structure music. They arent just basic chords and just singing the song together, but they really go to some different places that really make them sound just head and shoulders above anyone else. I would love to watch the two of them come up with some of the nuances they choose and see how they do it. This song really is a good demonstration of that. One of countless masterpieces.

Amazing mic control from Layne. That’s a real subtlety when it comes to being a serious, pro level singer. Knowing how to back off and blend is something that a shocking number of high profile singers don’t get right. He backs off right until the exact moment when he clicks in perfectly with Jerry.

Sad you can tell Layne was missing most of his teeth already. Poor health and tons of sugar. Heroin and sugar hit a lot of the same receptors in the brain. You’ll see a lot of opaite addicts eating tons of sugar.

Anyone else noticed they each sing a different lyric around 3 mins mark? Pretty sure Layne sings "reach for something strong" while Jerry sings "run for something strong". Please let me know if I'm just crazy.

It’s mind boggling how Layne still has the greatest voice even in 1996, 30 pounds lighter then ‘89, he had no teeth at this performance which severely altered his voice, and to top it all he was broken down in bad health. It’s crazy to put that all in perspective and listen to this performance and he still has the greatest vocals in the history of music. Period. So sad he succumbed to heroin. R.I.P to Layne and Mike Starr.

He still had teeth you can see them at time throughout the performance. His teeth were starting to get messed up by this time so he’s doing his best to to hide them but he still had them.if you listen to some of his last stuff like get born again you can tell he’s missing some teeth because he says S’s with a lisp but here it’s not a problem. Anyway your point still stands, he still had an amazing voice even in really bad health, definitely an all time great singer and his performance here was fantastic especially given the circumstances

Aleksa Stamenkovic I think that’s just from all the drug use, he still has his top on bottom teeth in this and you can see them throughout the performance, some of the last songs he did tho the lisp is far more severe and it’s definitely because he was probably missing a few teeth up front
