Alice Cooper - Raped And Freezing Lyrics

Finally got a ride, this old broad down from Santa Fe
She was a real go-getter
She drawled so sweetly," Think, child, that things'll get better"
We pulled off the highway
Night black as a widow
"Yeah, I read the Bible", she said
"I wanna know of you"

Hey, I think I got a live one
Hey, I think I found a live one
Hey, I think I got a live one
Yeah, Yeah, think I got a live one
Okay, boys

Felt like I was hit by a diesel or a Greyhound bus
She was no baby-sitter
"Get up now sugar, never thought you'd be a quitter"
I opened the back door, she was greedy
I ran through the desert, she was chasing
No time to get dressed, so I was naked
Stranded in Chihuahua

Hey, I think I got a live one
Hey, yeah, I got a live one
Hey, I think I got a live one
Hey, oh, got a live one

Hey, I think I got a live one
Hey, yeah, I got a live one
Hey, I think I got a live one
Hey, oh, got a live one

Alone, raped and freezing
Alone, cold and sneezing
Alone, down in Mexico
Alone

:09 in he lays that falsetto on us❤😂

1:55 the second short guitar solo had killer phrasing . I have a feeling it might have originally been S Hunter or even Mick Mashbir, as it doesn't sound like Dick Wagner or either of the Cooper guitarists.

Excellent period rock guitar riffs plus virtuoso bass, and touches of keyboard in just the right places. This is Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, etc. applied to rock and roll. Bob Ezrin is by far my favorite producer. Very schooled arrangements. Bob could always squeeze the best out of a band. "Welcome to My Nightmare" and KISS's "Destroyer" have the same "Americana" vibe. This is really good music!

Brings back such great memories of the 70’s!! Used to listen to him in the dark with my stereo cranked up that I bought while I was serving Uncle Sam in Vietnam. My friend and I would sit up all night and listen to this album over and over again sometimes until it was daylight. 😉🤯😳

Killer and Billion Dollar Babies are Coopers best in my opinion !! Bought em new on vinyl , still have em !!!!

    t.... h....

terri holder ditto but you have to put Love it to Death in there as well.

    t.... h....

terri holder All the albums from “Love It To Death” up ‘til “Billion Dollar Babies” are classic Alice Cooper!
They all merge into one for me once I get on a Cooper kick!
But if I was forced to choose just one it would have to be “Killer”!!

    t.... h....

What about School’s Out? I put that at #1, Killer #2, B. Dollar Babies #3. Just my 2 cents.
Question: Where do you rank Love it to Death and Welcome to my Nightmare?

    t.... h....

@cassidynova Saw Alice in Cincy in July and can't get LITD out of my truck stereo. My daughter Cassidy and I will see him in 2 days in Ft, Myers. Oh, and he's doing this one on this tour, unless he's changed the show any since then.
