Alice Cooper - Laughing At Me Lyrics

If it's laughing you need then it's laughing indeed
And it's laughing at me yes it's laughing at me
So I started to end the beginning to end
Then I ended the end yes I ended the end
And it's laughing it's laughing at me

It was 1973 when I heard this album with my girlfriend Norma Jean in a small town called Tottenham in the province of Ontario, Canada. She had this album playing while we made love and I lost my virginity to this album that night in November 1973. This album is a huge part of my life. Norma was my first Love and deep in my heart I still love her. I have no idea what happened to her as we both took different paths in life. I’m so glad I grew up in the 70,s, a magical time to be a teenager. I am now 62, life has flown by so fast. I still Love you Norma Jean wherever you are 💕.

The first great Alice Cooper album!

Uh...no. I love the Coop, but you have to appreciate what Bob Ezrin did for the band. Love it To Death clearly was the first great Alice Cooper album.

The talent is clearly evident in this album that would later develop into their more recognizable signature sound. Everyone has to start somewhere. I think they did some tasty stuff here in their 2nd album. It was a good effort.

    Robert LaBoube beegees

I stand by the album as a tripartite bridge between eerie, circus-type doors inspired bacchanalia, power pop in the vein of (though maybe not inspired by) syd barrett, the beach boys, stones and beatles, and freak music along the lines of iggy pop, james anderson, lou reed, the pretty things/deviants, david bowie and mick ronson. That's my poorly chained, well name checked, overly parenthetical, simplified and general stance.

Understatement. Its one of my favorite Cooper albums personally.

I am laughing at this horrible album....Bob Ezrin save us...

Felony Strutter This will sound strange, but try it. Listen to this album only for three days. No other music, just this album. Watch what happens. Confuse revulsion becomes something else. This has only happened with the Alice Cooper Group. I hated what I heard, but big sis kept playing it anyway. Pretty soon Iron Butterfly seemed boring , and our latest AC record became the favorite. “Pretties for you” took a while, but so did Zappa’s stuff.

Always liked this one I rather like his first two albums a lot though they are never widely regarded as good
