Alice Cooper - Lace And Whiskey Lyrics
I find myself running in circles
Lost and half insane
And I need a cure sometimes
To knock out the pain
So I yell out for some kind of angel
Be as soft as you can
Put a drink in my hand
I'm as scared as I ever could be
Gimme lace and whiskey
Mamas home remedy
Double indemnity
Fills me with ecstasy
La-aa-aace and whiskey
Lots of things I really want here
Lots of things I really need
That I've gotta feed
My hot mamas feminine body (??)
Always gets a rise from me
She's so soft in my hands
I give her all she can stand
Make a full fledged man outta me
Gimme lace and whiskey
Mamas home remedy
Double indemnity
Fills me with ecstasy
La-aa-ace and whiskey
La-aa-ace and whiskey
I ain't hard assed
So babe don't make me mean
I want a hot place
To go and show you things
Gimme lace and whiskey
Mamas home remedy
Double indemnity
Fills me with ecstasy
La-aa-ace and whiskey
I'll end up a broken old hobo
With red and yellow eyes
Swear' and drunk and dyin'
But no ones surprised
That's a long long way from today babe
As far as I can see
So shake off your shoes
Go and get me my booze
Lay your love and your laces on me
Gimme lace and whiskey
Mamas home remedy
Double indemnity
Fills me with ecstasy
La-aa-ace and whiskey
La-aa-ace and whiskey
La-aa-ace and whiskey
La-aa-ace and whiskey

Alice Cooper Lace And Whiskey Comments
It was once used in an episode of a TV-series, I think it was either Airwolf or Blue Thunder. I like it!
I don't understand why both "Lace and Whisky", and "Goes to Hell" are seen as bottom ranking album's, when in my opinion are his two best!
Hot summer stomp!
ALICE gets his Humphrey ON
thats a mean riff
Me encanta ese Disco.
Too bad this song is dwelling in obscurity, as it is one of Cooper's best hard rock songs.

My Summer song,
Lace and Whiskey is the tenth studio album by Alice Cooper, released in May 1977.
Ronnie Smith. its my favorite Alice album. I've never understood why why so many fans don't rate it. its as good as nightmare and hell, and better than love it, killer and schools out and any album between 1978 and 1982
Nineth?
@Laurence Levene yeah I wonder that myself, as this and "Goes to hell" are my favorite Alice album's.
@Laurence Levene You're straight tripping dude if you think this album was better than Love it to Death, School's out and Killer...
Great Tune 🎼🤘👽
that opening riff...shivers

That riff tho
Dick Wagner is responsible for that monster riff. He played with Alice for many years, debuting on Welcome to my Nightmare thru til From The Inside.

Definitely a 70’s feel...
Strange song. Sounds like 2 different songs playing over each other. Had to pause it a few times to make sure I didn't have another tab open.
jayrobb9 I haven’t noticed that. It’s those drugs, son!
That's the sense of enfolding space the Grateful Dead were adept at mimicking with their guitar interplay.
Turn up the AC...
ugh summer.. "It's Hot TOnight!" dang right. *swap* dumb mosquitos.
A cracking riff by the late great Dick Wagner.
"What Comes Around" - Beastie Boys (sampled by the Dust Brothers) from this song.
Hey there. I noticed that too right off the bat haha.
Pretty cool that they sampled this song. I've been looking for this CD,
but with no luck. Must be out of print. I'm hearing it for the first time.
