Alex G's songs always bring me back to my childhood... messy, colorful friends' bedrooms that smell like clay, dog fur and fun, meeting at the park and playing with random kids, watching the trees and night lights from the backset of the car, playing make believe with random household objects, dancing weirdly to songs from the radio... didn't have an ideal childhood, but some feelings from it I will never be able to forget and experience again. Or so I thought. Alex G's music manages to bring me back to those good moments. Thank you, truly.

this song hits hard. I dont know if it's the music or the lyrics or the video. I feel like I'm not me during the song. I'm one of those girls who are trying to be happy, altering their appearance. and also pain in my heart because we all know life isn't as good as it appears. imagine now in present time. they could be pain, and yet in this video they look like they could be them forever. it hits hard. I feel the urge to feel more carefree and not live in the past. because we dont know what the future holds. I'm eating myself away with my problems when maybe I should let go. I feel like everyone should let go a bit and take the time to truly be alive. its amazing how one song and one video can do this.

I can never listen to this song again with the purity of heart I did the first time I heard it back in April of 2017... Fighting desperately with my heart who needed my boyfriend and first love so bad that I took a train to his place late at night... and had this playing on my ipod thinking it would make me feel better, but I broke down when he sings that part about making promises that will play with her heart.... OK Basically I am Sarah. And this hurts knowing everything sung was true. Such a beautiful and poignant song that will mark my teenage years for the rest of my life.
