I always find myself coming back to this song, this video, all of it. I never get sick of it. I can play it on repeat over and over again and it feels just as wonderful each time. I honestly I just wish it was longer. I want this to be the soundtrack of my life.

It's hard for me to want to commit to serious enthusism for art, when the artist wants to represent himself mawkishly.

I feel like this satirical image of dorkdom is undermining what would otherwise by all accointing be quality heartfelt music.

It's annoying, because I like this guy's music, but his obnoxious need to constantly lampoon himself as a Napolean Dundee Dynamite, taints my associative synesthesia perception. Now, if I try to enjoy his work I have this off-putting visual of a person trying way too hard to be ironically kitsch with inceasant squinty-eyed/pursed-lipped/clinched-fist faux stoicism amid bent-knee hip-swiveling in grossly tight red-tag special jeans.

See, this just makes everything better for me. In the age where the image can be so easily manipulated into anything, choosing to not only make a fool out of yourself, but also to salvage the suffering of meaningless and existential despair of generic "losers" and giving it meaning, no matter how absurd.
