I've always heard Thin Lizzy in this one. Something like a mix of "Running Back" and "The Boys Are Back...". It's in his vocal delivery for me.

Rare to hear some actual sympathy for how disaffected the young men of our society really are.

The song is clearly about toxic men who hate women and blame them for their problems. It’s not anyone else’s fault that you can’t get a girlfriend besides you.

Hey landscape, Camerons song is not containing any sympathy or understanding for disaffection and suffering of men in todays society and I wonder how you perceived it that way cause even I as a non native speaker of english got it quickly. Listen to how he sings's it, listen to the contempt in his voice at some points: where do you find any sympathy there? Like many (or even most?) artists in todays music industry, Cameron is spreading feminist and seemingly other leftist ideas and seems to have a very one-sided idea about male-female relations (at least that's what I perceive from his interviews and songs).

After listening to a lot of his songs and loving him and his songs for their drive (not always for the lyrics) I can tell you that so far I've never heared / read him singing / talking about male disaffection.

After listening to him excessively in 2019 I start reflecting on him more now and whether he's really that cool or not. It's an ambivalent relation for me and I think that's even what he wants. Because how do you make people buy into something the best way? Be cool, have swagger, have a cool sound, electrify people!

The whole disaffection, neglection and masculinity thing It's a largely overlooked topic, also here in Germany and I hope that politics, science, education and other brances of society finally start thinking different, start focusing NOT only on girls and women but put an equal focus on boys and men in order to minimize the bitter consequenes. Same I hope for the US and all other countrys where we see matriarchat rising.

I think Alex is hinting a bit of sympathy here however I mainly posted that to make all the feminists in the comments mad. Notice how if u simply mention men's declining state they shout incel at you.

@landscape It's a typical red-fascist behaviour. When they're out of arguments (which they are chronically) or even when they're not, they're trying to disqualify you by labeling you in a way that could result in being taken less serious or even excluded by other individuals, or groups. Same here in Germany. They are trying to insult in the meanest possible ways, intimidate or even attack people physically.. They are sick people. Really sick.
But complaning isn't a solution. You did the right thing confronting them with another opinion. As they are not democrats, they can hardly stand it to hear other peoples opinions.
