Love the song, but do not get the connection between the song and the video. Could someone explain?

Just my own idea: they have drifted apart from the stress of life; bills, work, and the other draining aspects... the foundation for a normal life. I feel like this video portrays a man who doesn't know why his wife is so distant and thinks he has done something wrong when truthfully she is just so stressed that she cannot bring herself to show him love and affection because she is depressed. The last part, though, I feel could go two ways: either she needs a way out but wants him to be taken care of so she decides to rob the store and go to jail to be free of the life that drags her down and allow her husband to thrive and move forward... OR she is simply trying to mend the relationship at the core of its problems: home stability. I know I have personally been in a relationship that I felt that way in.. like maybe we could have worked out if the financial stress wasn't so bad... because life is miserable when all you do is worry about whether or not you will be evicted or have your power turned off.. when you are stressed about the basic things it takes away from your happiness because it takes so much to simply survive that there is no room for anything else until the main problems are solved. Wow, my bad. I've been watching this video trying to figure it out myself. Haha.
