Damn, this come out back in 2009? I was a sophomore in highschool. I remember getting this album and driving myself and some buddies to school in my old beat up POS 86 Chevy. The radio was worth more than the truck was. Simpler times...wish I could go back.

I put this song on my list of songs that could fit in with a Darren Shan story because I thought this was the kind of song that talks about things that may shock the singer who is singing it. In the stories, there are things that non fans will find shocking, such as vampires and wolves being friends (they are cousins), vampires thinking that humans are equals instead of food, feeding on humans without killing them, not having fangs, the inability to fly, the myths Darren the character debunks there, and the author's creative mind to come up with a creature who acts like the traditional vampires. Desmond Tiny's plan for Darren and Steve to be the Anti Christs is also shocking, as Darren was supposed to be a goody two shoes boy and Steve was supposed to be the bad boy.
Uh, think you missed the gist of the song there, shocking isn't the reason he's gotta see his girl that way.
