For anyone who doesnt know, this song is a shoegazing genre. According to wiki, it is defined as "a subgenre of indie and alternative rock that emerged in the United Kingdom in the late 1980s. It is characterized by its ethereal-sounding mixture of obscured vocals, guitar distortion and effects, feedback, and overwhelming volume." The 8 minute journey is just an ethereal mix of instrument with little singing, emphasizing the atmosphere. This shoegazing genre somehow reminds me of Impressionist music back in the 20th century

my mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2013, she only had the courage to reveal it to the family in 2017, we ran against the time for her to have a chance. During the chemotherapy period, she slept listening to this song, even the house cats. Nowadays she has metastasis, I do not know the day she's go, but this song will be kept deep in my heart.

This is a totally subjective view, but it reminds me that friday 13th november 2015. Terrorist attacks shocked France and Paris was really impacted. I remember taking the metro, the next days, with this deep and sad music in my ears, looking at the others, unknown, heartbroken, as I was.. Merci Alcest for having let this mark in my soul which is not just a painful memory but also a message of hope.

As I lay on my bed crying inside because I'm too afraid to finally end it all.. so alone so hurt.
I listen to this and resonate so much, it's a sad cry but i start to cry all my eyes out because my thoughts have finally cleared and I'm reflected on how I'm so ready to leave this world.. I took a look at the album cover and I froze, I and immediately burst out how that picture made me think that an angel was with me in a time of pure loneliness.
