Alcatrazz - Undercover Lyrics

Running through gate number nine
She just can't miss that flight
Her gun is packed and loaded
As she slips into the night
Rome, London, New York, L.A.
She's all around the world
One more secret lover
Just another undercover girl

Undercover undercover undercover
Undercover undercover undercover

She's strange but that's alright
But then again I don't know
Posing as a cover girl
While she dances through the night
Sees through life, waits alone
Amid the sultry skies, she's got the magic touch

Undercover undercover undercover
When I'm undercover with you
[x4]

Her world is calling out for heroes
Behind the mask of double zeroes

Undercover undercover undercover
Undercover undercover undercover

Undercover undercover undercover
When I'm undercover with you
Undercover undercover undercover
When I'm undercover with you

No one sees the things that we do
Undercover
When I'm undercover with you
Undercover
[x4]

What a brilliant album! I always love hearing everyones opinion about what a great album this is. Not to mention all Alcatrazz albums that anyone might not have heard.

    Chad Johnson

+Roger Miller Their best album imho

  3. Benoit Vanhees

Hi Greg, interesting to read about Johnson, I don't think he made a bad job out of it, and this 3rd Alcatrazz-LP/CD certainly is worth while keeping. I was wondering, did he played live with Alcatrazz, and did this include the Malmsteen / Vai era songs and solo's ?

    Chad Johnson

+Benoit Vanhees Yes he did all the old stuff. He could pull it off but it wasnt his thing. He is more musician than fretboard gymnast. He is easily one of the top 10 rock n roll guitarists of all time. He is currently playing and touring with Steppenwolf.

    Benoit Vanhees

@Chad Johnson I've always preferred guitarists as let's say David Gilmour over the speed kings à la Malmsteen. The latter are impressive, but often, "less is more", and that's also true for guitarists. Thanks for the information !

    Hellraiser Gordon

There's a bootleg of the Dangerous Games tour floating around, I believe a show in Long Island was put on tape. It has a great version of Undercover and It's My Life on it. Worth checking out if you can track it down.

Hellraiser Gordon I just got Alcatrazz Dangerous Games CD remastered from a label called Hear No Evil and it has a live show from this tour. About eight songs and it has songs from all three albums. It is not the best sound quality but it is still cool to hear. The album is called Dangerous Games Expanded and I ordered it from eBay for $11 and it was worth it.

Benoit Vanhees there is a remastered edition of Dangerous Games from a label called Hear No Evil and it has eight songs from the Dangerous Games tour and the songs are from all three albums that Alcatrazz has done. It is not the best sound quality but it is still cool to listen to. It is called Dangerous Games Expanded and I just got my copy earlier today and I had ordered it from eBay for $11 and it was worth it.

My uncle Danny Johnson played guitar on this album, great album but probably to pop for their fans, the guitar was downplayed on this album, guess after playing with Malmsteen vai and Blackmore, bonnet was tired of guitar players stealing the show,, Danny was and still is an excellent guitar player but didn't really get a chance to show it here

    Z Klaric

This is one of the best melodic hard rock albums from the 80's. Guitar playing is brilliant.

    Reila Circus

I think I remembering hearing an interview that Danny Johnson more of a music guy, that it wasn't how much guitar he played but how much was needed and with Alcatrazz he realized that they had a great singer and didn't want to overshadow him. Compared to when Yngwie was in the band he would often play a solo while Graham Bonnet was singing and the solo wasn't necessary, which is something Danny would never do. All and all, out of all three Alcatrazz records this one is my favorite and I only wish it had performed better so we could've gotten more Alcatrazz.
