This is a monumental Album! And I'm sorry to say that it's the only decent piece of music Malmsteen achieved. Every Riff, Chord Progression and Solo is thought out. Unlike that Rising Force Trash that went nowhere and rite fully So!

What?! This is a great album, but so is Steeler and Marching Out, don't overlook great stuff. Rising Force has great tracks too. Don't be so closed off to great stuff

I agree! Not as radically but Malmsteen's playing never had the same intensity after Alcatrazz. The solo after Kree Nakoorie on the Tokyo concert is one of the most intense musical performances I've ever seen. On his solo stuff, he seems completely tame. He still plays the notes and just as fast but it doesn't have the same feeling for me.

Rising Force is master piece. atleast for me. Its one of the best instrumental out there. maybe malmsteen did sound lame 5 solo albums later. but rising force, marching out, trilogy,odyssey, eclipse are very good albums. At first I didnt like rising force except for few tracks too. but later after listening and learning to love prog, classical (especially Chopin), jazz and more deeper music, I realize that rising force is indeed a master piece. you may hate it because you are probably purist in music classics or blues and you don't listen to experimental, or something progressive and more technical in music theory. but as in my view as a person who have common understanding in music theory, I think its master piece. I bet paul gilbert, jason becker, john petrucci, and steve vai would agree as well since they all love Yngwies early solo albums. Their opinion is more significant than classic fan boys like you.

If you say Rising Force is trash you know nothing about guitar it is one of the top 5 guitar albums of all time.
