Albert Hammond - These Are The Good Old Days Lyrics
And all the sad young men,
Parading through there lifes
The girls that they have loved have now
Become expensive wifes.
They think they know it all,
They reaching out for better times,
If they only knew...
These are the good old days
This is the best time of my life
The best I've ever known
And it won't ever the same again
These are the good old days
And when my clothes are out of style
And life is slowing down
And all the sad young men
Go marching of to war
The old men shake their heads and say
We've seen it all before
But how are they to know
The lesson takes so long
And by the time we found the answer, live is almost gone.
This is the best time of my life
The best I've ever known
And it won't ever be the same again
And when my clothes are out of style
And life is slowing down
I know what I have done.

Albert Hammond These Are The Good Old Days Comments
Never take life for granted - tomorrow belongs to no one - not even you.
what a stunning track! !!!
I can't very much tell if the song comes from melancholy or from cheer. I guess maybe it's both, because that is how all things go as they age. Still, being a young person, it makes me sort of sad to know that I'll look back on myself some day from a less capable, more certain position. In particular, the verse "when my clothes are out of style," really captures the presumed transience of youth. Jose Esquivel, muchas gracias por compartir esta hermosa cancion.
Thank you so much. Been looking for this ♥
