At this point in time I can urge you to save yourself but can't actual save you because that part you have to do yourself. If you want a better life you must start taking responsibility for what emotions you feel, for what thoughts you choose to live by and take responsibility for your actions. If you choose to say "they make me feel" or "that makes me feel" then those are statements of a man or women who chooses to be not responsible for what emotions they feel. To no longer to feel sadness you must take responsibility of why you choose to be sad and take action to develop a change in your life that helps you then feel like its appropriate to choose to feel happy.

As well to choose to have compassion for all beings and no longer eat animal flesh and eat a vegan diet or a raw vegan diet can help you then choose to be happy, and, as well, is an action nesscary for you to live a life that will help you choose to be happy. Otherwise your choice to eat animal flesh will have a bad effect on your body that you may not understand at this moment which will result in great suffering for you and also for the animals you choose not to care for.

Further more to decide you have the right to harm or others have the right to harm for you so that you may consume animal flesh will result in self condemnation. Unfortunately, if you eat animal flesh, you have been indoctrinated into a society that teaches you that killing is ok to do to some animals and even may have been indoctrinated that its okay to kill some humans. I hope my words were read by you and taken seriously and are incorporated into your daily life & I hope you organize a beautiful life for yourself and others.

great song, but Marianne Williamson has a black people bias and she believes in reparations. My family came as immigrants here in 1985 and grandparents in the holocaust. A lot of white immigrants. And im not oaying a dime in reparations. it was good she lost. She unknowingly backed a black supremacist policy in reparations.

I am apolitical. No man or woman can bring about the true changes we need. No matter who rules they are as imperfect as the rest of us and will make mistakes. Just look at history, its all there, human endeavours and failures.

Love the song! But I have to wonder if some wing-nuts will take it to mean to start a revolution as in coup d'état/Operation American Spring!  Many of us know that you mean a peaceful revolution- to start with first by researching the candidates/propositions, and then getting out there to vote!

i had a major brain surgery in december and was partially paralyzed for 3 months...if i can make it out of that we as a united people can do great things.  Im thinking starting at university town halls can get us there  can you help?  its our duty to fix what is broken.  

Kudos to Alanis for coming up with a beautiful song. She at least piqued my interest enough to see who Marianne Wiliamson is. While she may be an upgrade from the representative now, I don't see how what she's about can be of any help. I just watched her ted talk from a year ago. It was 17 minutes of her speaking about nice things without saying anything at all.

Riffgroove you totally have missed it! First of all, Marianne is running as an Independent, making your partisan hackery (perhaps you meant quackery?) comment false, null and void. Second, your really missed it by a mile with your comment about letting people "know that corporations and special-interest groups run the nation..." Guess what is on the top of the agenda for Marianne Williamson? Precisely, not just talking about it but amending the Constitution to reverse the nefarious Citizen's united and McCutchen rulings by the Supreme Court. I listened to this song and it really did touch my heart because I understand the importance and the magnitude of what we must do to bring back our democracy. I truly believe that if you were familiar with the Williamson campaign you would feel differently and perhaps you would feel a little bit of something that Alanis must have felt when she decided to create this song for Marianne. Two final thoughts- I hope that you are not one of those people that are so disgusted by our politics that you have decided to tune out and not vote, but the fact is when you choose to not vote you give the moneyed interests and the religious extremists your power...which is the vote. Lastly, if you still feel like righting our democracy is not your cup of tea, no one is strapping you down forcing you to listen to or watch this Alanis song, so understand that the only one subjecting you to your perceived torture is yourself.

A very wise man once said, "politics is spirituality expressed." If you think about this it is true. The people we elect to write our laws and prioritize the issues should be a reflection of our heart and soul as a society. There is no doubt we need to improve this process tremendously, primarily by getting money out of politics, but that is why this requires our participation. "Democracy is not a spectator sport".
