Alan Parsons Project, The - Vulture Culture Lyrics
Somehow you made it in the big wide world
And you're absolutely home and dry
You got away from a one horse town
And the only way out was to fly
And it seems like the place to be
You heard some talk about a slippery slope
But you think "it can't happen to me"
Vulture culture
Use it or you lose it
Vulture culture
Choose it or refuse it
Hollywood is calling won't you join the dance
Moving onto Wall Street why not take a chance
Never lend a loser a hand
Just a vulture culture
Living off the fat of the land
Nowhere to turn around and catch your breath
It's all relatively trouble free
No need to bother with the bottom line
Or a money back guarantee
You sign a deal that's been etched in stone
It's absolutely cut and dry
That's when the got you in the danger zone
And the only way out is to die
Vulture culture
Use it or you lose it
Vulture culture
Choose it or refuse it
Hollywood is waiting striking up the band
Everyone on Wall Street shakes you by the hand
Such a vulture culture
Never lend a loser a hand
Just a vulture culture
Living off the fat of the land
Use it or you lose it
Choose it or refuse it
Hollywood's a no go not a second chance
Nobody on Wall Street gives you a second glance
It's a vulture culture
Moving to the beat of the band
It's a vulture culture
Never lend a loser a hand
It's just a vulture culture
Living off the fat of the land

Alan Parsons Project, The Vulture Culture Comments
Alan Parsons e Eric Woolfson ao meu ver, corretamente convocaram muito bem o David Paton para os vocais dessa música. Sem dúvida a grande música deste album Vulture Culture de 1984.
I agree, the rhythm and vocals remind me a lot of the "Breakfast In America" single from Supertramp. Nice one that should have been a much bigger hit.
You are always talking about your problems. Let' us think about me.
A Special album, save for a special time.
Let's talk about me for a minute
Well how do you think
I feel about what's been going on
Let's talk about me for a minute
Well how do you think
I feel about what's gone wrong
Let's talk about dreams
I never learned to read the signs
Let's think about what it all means
I never seem to have the time
Let's talk about you and your problems
All that I seem to do is spend the night
Just talking 'bout you and your problems
No matter what I say I can't get it right
Don't think about dreams
Is it all a waste of time
Don't think about what it all means
If you are a friend of mine
Talk about me, for a minute
I'm the one who's losing
Talk about me, for a minute
I'm the one who's always losing out
And how do you think
I feel about what's been going on
Let's talk about me for a minute
Well how do you think
I feel about what's gone wrong
Let's think about dreams
We never seem to have the time
Let's talk about what it all means
If you are a friend of mine
Let's talk about me
I'm the one who's losing out
I'm the one who's losing out
I'm the one who's losing out, losing out
Talk about me, for a minute
I'm the one who's losing
Talk about me, for a minute
I'm the one who's always losing out
Thank you! The lyrics even exalt the purity of the voice . And what a voice🙃😉🙂🌞🌞🌞🌞✌🙏the best ever .
Richard Marx???
Although I don't quite like the Parsons' albums after Ammonia Avenue, I do like this song very much.
Black Milk/Royce Da 5'9-Losing Out!!!
Scary what they did to it! As long as TAPP were paid.
again ! the music resembles Super tramp not Alan Parsons.
Who cares of that????...
Supertramp was never this good.
It could be a resemble, you may be right, in every decade the music seems to soud very equal between them, same sounds, same sintethizers, same vocals arrangenments, in order to deliver a good, commercial and still the same music with the ideology of a group. Nevertheless compare Zakatek with Roger Hudson is like a comparisson of apples and oranges, they are all fruits, but different flavor. Greetings from Argentina
a jewel of music!
Excellent song, I love this part 1:36...
And this part too 3:13... :D
Great zakatek singer.
Isto sim foram foram grandes grupos
this song only went to #56 on the pop charts in 1985!!!
That's because works of art are not understood by the masses.
Wonderful 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Always reminded me of Supertramp!
Supertramp and APP are cousins bands, great both!!!
Strange, thats what i thought as well.
@ROY BATTY 2019 Yes, forever beloved. John Helliwell and Alan Parsons have toured together.
ZA-ZA-ZOOM!!!!!!!!!!
Snake eating its tail, Satans eye... bad news. This song is decent tho.
David Ringlein lmao
Esoteric symbolism doesnt mean Satan.
You could imagine that some people wanted to destroy the real meaning of these symbols for some purpose...
clearly its a Vulture-Snake
Not Satan, idiot. Ouroboros. Learn to *read* now and again. You're welcome.
I still think this album exhibits some of their best work.
Randolph the frog & jack, Agreed with you. Thanks.
Yeah it is.
Next comes sterotomy. And ammonia avenue.
i love your songs

My teen years...thanks,Fandango! :)
