Alan Parsons Project, The - The Same Old Sun Lyrics
Tell me what to do
Now the light in my life is gone from me
Is it always the same
Is the night never ending
All the hopes and the dreams went wrong for me
There's a smile on my face
But I'm only pretending
Taking my life
One day at a time
Cause I can't think what else to do
Taking some time
To make up my mind
When there's no one to ask but you
The same old sun would shine in the morning
The same bright eyes would welcome me home
And the moon would rise way over my head
And get through the night alone
And the same old sun would shine in the morning
The same bright stars would welcome me home
And the clouds would rise way over my head
I'll get through the night on my own
Tell me what to do
Now there's nobody watching over me
If I seem to be calm
Well, it's all an illusion
Tell me what to do
When the fear of the night comes over me
There's a smile on my face
Just to hide the confusion
Taking my life
One day at a time
Cause I can't think what else to do
Taking some time
To make up my mind
When there's no one to ask but you
The same old sun would shine in the morning
The same bright eyes would welcome me home
And the moon would rise way over my head
I'll get through the night alone
And the same old sun would shine in the morning
The same bright stars would welcome me home
And the clouds would rise way over my head
I'll get through my life on my own

Gracias por la letra !!!!
when i first got this album in early 86, this song sent shivers up my spine. i sense of dread and sadness engulfed me. what an amazing song, so sad, yet so hopeful i thought...and i couldnt help but have a sense of foreboding about this song. then that summer, my childhood sweetheart, only 17, was diagnosed with uterine cancer. we d had been inseparable for years, and had our lives planned out...only to have those dreams fade on nov 20,1986, when the scourge that is cancer took her to Gods home in heaven. this song still makes me tear up and cry...even 32 years later. yet...i still am thankful for the Lord for this wonderful woman who blessed me in the period of my life. many wonderful times and memories live on in my heart and soul....and rest assured, i will see her again when i go home to see Jesus
God bless you Eric.

what a 2meirl4meirl song...
Tremendous guitar job.
Without a doubt, their best song ever.
One of the best!
Amazing music, my favourite band, I am speechless every time I put an album
Best advice I've heard today!
My very, very, very, very favorite song!😊
Very good! Very 1984!
Eric Woolfson was not only the sound of AP, He was the Project!
It's nice to pay tribute, but one shouldn't exaggerate by doing so... I mean, Alan's role was a bit bigger than just acting like a flowerpot man.
I agree. I never bought the "Parsons/Woolfson" credits. Maybe Parsons contributed to one or two lines or chords in each song, but they were really Woolfson's creations, who also played and sang on the albums. A genius really. Parsons was more of a technical guy, who dealt with recording, engineering, mixing, mastering, producing etc.
@Harry . Lassche - so you mean he was Alan Parsons' project?
Please stop opposing them. Each pushed the other to his best. One such great thing about the two is that it never was a fight of egos. Actually it was Eric who found the name of the band as both were looking to put emphasis on the « engineering » side of music.
that's one juicy guitar solo, right at the end. I always turn up the volume
