Alan Parsons Project, The - Soireé Fantastique Lyrics
And now a trick that is done with mirrors
To exist and not to be alive
I'm the man who has disappeared
In his own eyes
And if you come to watch my sleight of hand
Misdirection is not being lost
When doubt is all that you believe
In your kiss I find the key
To all of the locks that were holding me
Now all their illusions fall away
In your touch I find the piece
To restore what was torn and now I'm complete
I finally found the light of day
In this soirée fantastique
Now you see me, now you don't
Says the man I used to be
Behold a levitation made of hope
Rising up to set me free
In your kiss I find the key
To all of the locks that were holding me
Now all their illusions fall away
In your touch I find the piece
I finally found the light of day
In this soirée fantastique
In your touch I find the piece
To restore what was torn and now I'm complete
I finally found the light of day
In this soirée fantastique

Alan Parsons Project, The Soireé Fantastique Comments
go see this man live.... an amazing experience
That little riff around 4:10 reminds me slightly of Silence and I, although I might just be projecting there.
This song is the kind off songs that make one fall in love with the music of alan parsons
just like it was in the 80's with Let's Talk About Me i fell in love since the first listening...😍
beautiful to listen ..i love this voice .... thank you <3
They are touring!! Go see them before it's too late. You will not regret it. have seen them twice in the last year. Magical experience
El mas grande
EPIC...Simply Amazing!
Que gozada de álbum.
Listening to this song over and over again. The vocals are amazing, lush and interweaving harmonies. This has got to be one of APP's finest works. This album really needs to be nominated for a grammy - it is an amazing work requiring many listens to truly appreciate the subtleties of the songs.
Why only 41,773 views ? That seems insanely low considering how awesomely lush and great this track is, what is wrong with people when they can't hear how beautifully performed and produced this music is ?
Bond song
Great track. A mix of old and new APP.
I am stunned by the beauty of this song.
More one job wonderfull!
good to see a song with a french word that isn't absolutely murdered.
I mean on the other hand, Alan Parsons Speaks french fluently, so It would be hard to fail.
Keep me flying as the all above, very fantastic, really, surely.
Great Alan Parsons & Todd Cooper!!
Yes that is

You can look but never see

Love this!
Fantastique!!
fantastico ( ; =))
more and more tracks becoming favourites as I listen more frequently. Saw the band on this tour. What a wonderfully nostalgic evening that was.
SE LO QUES SOIREE FANTASTIQUE AS ACERTADO AL 100%
one night in Paris...
This is one of my favorite tracks on this release. A little dark, a little haunting maybe, but the the chorus is ridiculously insane. Well done!
Cumple. Quien es el guitarrista?
Slash 😁
I love this track
This is one of the best track on the album
@François Benoit i love all of the album , Its different and that keeps it fresh.
Thankyou.
Vocals mix too loud.
Kaleiddmode I feel the same way on just about every track on the album... I love the arrangements and producing, but the mix/mastering has been disappointing in my opinion...
This is how vocals should be mixed. They are bold & clear instead of sunk. Alan has worked with better vocalists in the past but that is a sign of the times. Overall I find these songs a breath of fresh air compared to all the ghastliness over the last decade.
I am in total agreement with everything you have stated.... It's nice to be able to hear and understand what is being sung instead of muddy vocal mixes in which you can't understand a word that is being sung. This is how it was back in the day and it's nice that some groups are still doing it in this way
Compared to his previous productions these vocals are too loud compared to the rest of the instruments but if you want to like them that's your preference. Maybe it's the voices timbre trying to create harmonies.
@Kaleiddmode I agree with you and that seems to happen all throughout the record. I remember commenting something very similar to my wife while listening to 'I Can't Get There From Here'. The instruments sound so much behind the vocals it almost sounds like mainstream pop music. Nothing like any Project songs, with a full spectrum of instruments sounding around the vocals although not overshadowing them.
Is that Ian Bairnson at 3:59?
No. Ian is on Can't Get There From Here and on Years From Here.
Yet... that sound and melodic phrasing is distinctly Ian! I wonder who is credited for the solo?
Kaleiddmode, You mean "Years of Glory"
Sheldon, Jeff Kollman is credited as lead guitarist here and he, along with Dan Tracy, play acoustic guitars. The sound which you describe as "distinctly Ian," at the 3:59 mark, sounds familiar because it sounds like Ian's guitar solo at the end of "Silence and I," which I'm sure was intentional.
Jeff Kollman awesome! See band live is experience!
Nice, nice ...would have been great if Alan Parson would have had John Miles again as guest musician
I agree... he was one of my all time favorite vocalists from the project days. Shadow of a Lonely Man, The Cask of Amontillado, La Sagrada Familia, and There But For the Grave of God (from Freudiana) are all classics!
@Sheldon Smith and what else , things have to pass away.
on the song sometimes he had Lou Gramm of Foreigner ]:P
It's a great song and album Alan, but I am not impressed by Mr. Cooper's vocals. I am 100% sure you would find better voices for your songs. Belieeeeeeeeeve... (ouch)
I just commented on that above. Sadly the singers of yore are gone and the kids just don't understand. At least this is better than Trailer Swift & Adhele autotuned into oblivion.
@Benedict Roff-Marsh It's a great album, no doubt about it.
Rodrigo... U R a Asshole!! I see you talk about all band!?! Even Alan Parsons. Who are you? No one impressed by negativity! No one impressed by you
Maravillosa canción con el.estilo inconfundible de la mejor época de The Alan Parsons Project. ¡Gracias Alan por seguir ahí! ¿Ian Bairnson de nuevo a la guitarra...? Excepcional.
Oh my goat! He is still making great songs like this.
Oh your goat 🐐
@Kaleiddmode In 🐐 we trust
A new Alan Parsons album was my most cherished and log felt desire for many years since A Valid Path. But recently I doubted that there will be a new one and forgot about that, so this was pretty shocking that there is a new album
😘🙋❣️
Gorgeous, says I who dated 3 proper live and on stage Magicians in my day! lol Now you see me now you dont! lol ;-)
