Alan Parsons Project, The - Siren Song Lyrics

Days go by
Adrift upon a rolling sky
The miracles escape my eyes
But I still hope

Time, regret
Is this as good as life can get?
It's only when the spirit sets me free I cope

If I seek in every corner
If I search in every doorway
When the water turns to wine will I believe?
If I navigate the river
Would you take me to your island?
Sing s siren song so I can never leave

Long and wide
Eternity from side to side
Lead me through the rapids
guide me to the shore

There's a place
That's far beyond this time and space
When each of us comes face to face with something more

If I open up the channel
Would you send me information
If you tune me to your station I'll receive
If I navigate the river
Would you take me to your island
Sing s siren song so I can never leave

Plans can fail
But only fail to understand
The pyramid will turn to sand and I'll be here
... I will be here

  18. Tim Albaugh

been dealing with depression for past few years. thanks to Alan Parsons for his beautiful music

    Reene Keenie

Tim Albaugh Tim...take a GOOD B Complex and extra B1 in the form of Benfothiamine. Also goto Dr. Ben Lynch's website and learn why you're depressed ...chemicals, Standard American dirt, and gene mutations. Switch to eating like your Northern European ancestors (no plant oils or corn syrup...just animal fats and traditional sugars...and NO Mediterranean foods). THIS is how I've cured myself...and I've been very sick for a long time!

  19. Ray Trussel

A beautifully transcendent track by the group...thanks for posting!

  48. Pancho Reatas

    my favorit beautiful siren song

  49. patriotsdesign

Great voice, I agree but I think the best voice from an old band on AP has to be Colin Blunstone from the Zombies. He sang "Old And Wise" which was just over the top hauntingly beautiful. Eric Stewart, of course, did a superb job on this song.

  50. patriotsdesign

What would life be without beautiful music like this?

  51. Monserrat Fallas Madrigal

Saw APP live last year, one of the best experiences of my life. A true british musical genius.

  52. bigbruteusa

Lucky enough to catch the AP Project when on tour with ALL of the various vocalists and guitar players..it was AMAZING a small theater and a GREAT soundsystem (part of the Grateful Dead set-up).. VERY memorable.. Brought along a friend of mine (music-snob) who thought he 'maybe knew 2 or 3 songs by them' he was 'SO amazed at how many songs I knew and how good the musicians were'..
If you haven't caught the music used in the movie 'Ladyhawke' I think of it as a 'lost' AP album..AMAZING !

  53. bassmanjoe

    40 people prefer Maroon 5....:-)

  54. bassmanjoe

David Pack is just as amazing, none of his vocalists he had on his albums were weak. All brilliant in their own special way.

  55. Ronald Van Klooster

Eric Stewart from 10cc is the best vocalist on AP albums. Gratis song

  59. ladycplum

That very first shot after the title looks exactly lik eone of the walking trails in Jean Lafitte National Park.

  60. markusmala

Well, it was the time when it was called only Alan Parsons without project, after departure of Eric Woolfson in 1987, anyway Alan remain working with a crew like excellent musicians so in fact it was still a project even if officially the name falled in 93. This soaring song was credited from Ian Bairnson and I love it, music like the sound mood. Great slideshow. Thanks

  61. John Reid

Thanks for putting it out there.

  62. Trevor Thompson

Eric is gone and it's not fair to compair.
I love all of it . It's great music.
I am happy to experience all they had to offer!

    Tomasz Toft

Eric Woolfson is gone. But not yet Eric Stewart who sings this song

  63. Trevor Thompson

    @TheZacdes
I say credit to everyone involved in AP.
Eric was a big part of the Writing Success but, there were others including Ian
that wrote tunes here. It was a project remember!
But, It wasn't "Alan Parson'" the Solo artist either. It was a collaboration.
It's not fair to compare really.
I enjoy all their talents. And I'm glad I lived in a time to enjoy all there gifts!

  64. chilaquil008

im not very convince about the song but i im pretty sure i love pictures

  65. shane brady

@darkmoon123321 No way man, music today has nowhere near as much talent in it. Mostly unsophistcated, derivative crap, mass produced rubbish for the MTV generation. The days of EPIC live concerts from legends are gone, there are very few with real, individual talent!!!.

  66. shane brady

    @pgnorgan Amen to that:)

  67. Bryan Millen

    @TheZacdes agreed to that

  68. ozzz bllr

    relaxing...

  69. shane brady

@michaeldornan1 Why does everyone give Eric Woolfson all the credit, sure, he was a great part of THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT, but, just that, a PART. Credit to Alan, he was the driving force, and he"s still doing it, WELL!!

  70. rolo6rolo

    @VelvetTim i think it's a great idea! ^_^

  71. 6KingCooper6

The painting @ 2:04 wouldn't happen to be an Aivazovsky would it?

  72. sherrylynn70 aka Sentimental Journey Productions

A wonderful audio/visual...You really have a gift and I appreciate your time sharing it. Hope to see more from you..such an awesome Alan Parsons classic..it is a small world when it comes to the great connection of our hearts through the music and memories..God bless you always.

  87. Alex Sterling

@cheezmistr Animals is a great album and definitely showed that Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, even though will always be their biggest album, wasn't their only big accomplishment. The Wall has to be my favorite album by Pink Floyd.
