Alan Parsons Project, The - Requiem Lyrics
Well, I thought that one day
You and me would run away
Did I make a mistake
Of saving my someday
Write on the headstone
The wand breaks and love cries
The day that the magic dies
I speak the eulogy
To everyone I see
It doesn't comfort me
The requiem I wrote
For love will not grow old
And we will never know
We'll never know
But I thought that one day
You and me would run away
Did I make a mistake
Of saving my someday
So write on the headstone
Here lies the unknown
The wand breaks and love cries
The day that the magic dies
Put on the clothes of black
She's never coming back
The family's so sad
I'm damned to being saved
I rise above the grave
A new way everyday
But I thought that one day
You and me would run away
Did I make a mistake
Of saving my someday
So write on the headstone
Here lies the dead and gone
The wand broke and the love cried
The day that the magic dies
Goodbye
Goodbye...

Beznadzieine
Absolutely smashing 😎
Alan - this is your best, most powerful CD yet. Seeing that Eric hasn't 'added' his 2p to your work, this is one serious work like in the good old days (Just like Felipe de J.Cervera said. Funny thing is on every CD except Freudiana (Which I hated) there is one song that I refer to as a 'prayer' going by the lyrics. One of your lines in this CD is 'this is my curtain call'....which I take to mean no more CDs or touring which is a shame.... My wife and I saw you in Toronto years ago and hope one day you'll consider touring some Canadian cities again. Thank you Alan, for the wonderful music - music that is my like a tapestry woven of bass, various instruments, fabulous vocals and purest harmony! Thank you for the musical travels to old houses, farms, industrial areas, your music is like woven tapestries in that I can choose a bass line, sax, or keyboard track and settle in with the wonderful journey of a gifted and perfectionist musician's ears who hear - properly hear and mix - how a song or track or riff is supposed to sound! Clear and polished like a diamond - perfection from any angle it's seen/looked at. Thank you Alan for all you hard work over the decades from Abbey Road (and before) all the way and up to this CD "The Secret" God bless you and your family, and once again Thank you!
I agree with all of your sentiments up to the "God bless" part.
Finalmente um álbum que se aproveita em 2019! O melhor do ano!
Finally, like in the good old days: Alan selecting voices to make a great theme. This is 100 % right, and beautiful and according to Eric's, Ian's and also Andrew's mind.
My personal favourite from the album.

Love the Big Band sound. This album is fantastic!
This is my pick off the whole creation

miguel calahorra the same vocalist ,Todd Cooper.

Brilliant! .. kind of conjures up the theme music to the old Perry Mason show...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PA9t1nSGXXE
Could be a Bond theme song!
Excellent music
That's it.
You're right!
Love this song! Reminds me of "Mike Hammer" theme, and David Rose's :"The Stripper".
Todd Cooper has a pair of lungs on him!
Para los despistados: "Eye in the SKY").
Concuerdo contigo .
Can't wait for this record to drop. Have the vinyl preordered...gonna spin it a LOT, I can tell.
Genial!!! Réquiem!!!... Influencia jazz
This has a George MIchael - Kissing a Fool vibe to it.....Love it!!!!
That's it!
Good shout, also Manic Street Preachers
Interesante. La voz me recuerda a Stix.
Could have been a single on Supertramp's Breakfast in America. So much different for an AP song. I LOVE IT!
