Wonderful song, a magnificent music, just to remember us that we can really fly, blown by the wind!

My dad passed away when I was nine and this song makes me think of a memory when he took me to in-n-out in his Audi and this song was playing. It's a silly memory but will always mean so much to me.

Vancouver's English Bay beginning at 17 seconds. But I digress.. beautiful album, On Air. This song features Ian Bairnson's alwasy exquisite guitar playing.

The intro reminds me very much on Pink Floyd. But there are connections, I learned, so.... Personally I prefer his pieces with more rhythm (Lucifer etc.)

I say the guitar in Blue Blue Sky reminds me a little of Brain Damage by Pink Floyd

Nicely done. I haven't heard this song in years... but I am going to dig through my cd collection tonight until I find my copy of "On Air"! I used to love this disc-- your video is as mesmerizing as AP's music. In fact... I thought this WAS the music video put together by the band until I read the comments beneath the clip. Well done!

specially Tales of Mystery and Imagination, Edgar Allan Poe, both versions (1976 and 1987) they are amazing!
also get Eric Woolfson's Freudiana, which is the "missing project", it was made after Alan Parsons Project disolved, but Allan Parsons did this album helping his ol' pal.

@Rib5 Of course it's about the life and how it' is lived, I know that since I bought the album the same year it came out!!
But remember AP music has several meanings, even a literal one. I just point out a minor detail on the video.
Have you noticed the literal meaning in all the songs, btw?

@cldbrks I am no great astrolager but I am sure some one with that knowledge could tell you exactly where thes were done. I think I see Orion at 441 in the right half which would put this in the Northern Hemisphere. But I could be wrong I have little knowledge of the southern skies.

Much of this melody sounds just like Peter Gabriel + Kate Bush's 'Don't give up'.

Haleakala is over 10,000 ft. on this island. Those of us who wake up at 3 in the morning, to drive up there... get to look down on the cottony beds of purple clouds, as the sun rises. It is spectacular (and cold!).

This is such a good song. I still can't believe this did not make airplay--I've never heard of it until stumbling across On Air here at YouTube recently. Haunting, wistful, melodic, soaring lament equal to APP's best, and reminiscent of the best of Pink Floyd also. Thank for the excellent video as well!
