Is this considered to be prog rock? I'm not sure.
I remember hearing it for the first time when I was maybe 14. The opening track knocked me out. It sounds kind of tacky to me now.
I didn't think the original release could be improved on. Orson Welles and Alan Parsons proved me wrong.
I don't understand how 27 people disliked this tune or Wells' reading in general, to each his/her own I guess.
Narrated by the late great Orson Wells, a perfect choice for reading Poe.
Thought this would be appropriate to listen to on Halloween 2019, especially with Orson Wells narration.

All I can say is this is one of my favorites.

I prefer the original without the benefit of the dialogue over the entry piece, though Welles does have a voice that lends itself to this.....
