If you ever listen to this on an eight track you'll hear what people describe as the obvious difference between analog and digital recordings. The sounds of analog have a depth and warmth that just isn't there through digital. I went to an audio school where they talked about the difference between the two but I never noticed it so much. But after I found this album on eight track and listening to it over and over I became used to the subtle nuances of the analog recording. Then when I listened to it on here it was like a night and day difference. The analog version has a warmth and timbre that is so obviously missing in the digital recording. The digital is flat sounding. Really crazy how it sounds almost like you're right there when you hear the eight track. But when you hear the digital version the warmth and timbre are very noticeably abscent.
There is a very different sound between analog and digital that I never noticed before. Maybe that's why I still like 8 track tapes, cassettes and records. They are a true representation of a recording as opposed to a simulation.
