The man I have loved ever since we were in 6th grade has played this for me on his acoustic guitar, singing this song to me. And he sent me this song, and it brought back memories that made me cry. Could never stop loving that boy I knew so long ago and the man I know now. No matter what happens.

I always feel this song is about those moments before we commit to someone else. Those thoughts of the good and bad that may come and if you can take it all on together. It's like life walking with death lurking on the side. We know there is an end but are we willing to keep moving through despite it....Every line of this song just holds so much meaning. Definitely one of their best.

I play viola, and the thicker strings and less whiny sound are the only really obvious differences. That and her arm is stretched out just a *little* further to hold the neck than it would be for a violin (due to slight size difference). Little differences, but yeah, it's a viola.

That would probably explain it, but I don't get how you know it's a viola, as a violin player, all I notice is that it doesn't sound as whiny--probably why I was saying it sounded flat?--and the strings look thicker...

What's even more off with her violin is that it's a viola.

I entered a state of apathy towards most things ever since a certain incident in my life that led to depression and from there apathy. This song was first thing in a some time to actually make me feel something and brought me close to tears. That's how emotion is behind it.
