Air Supply - Sandy Lyrics
Sandy, the fireworkds are hailin' over little Eden tonight
Forcin' a light into all those stoney faces left stranded
on this warm July
And the boys from the casino dance with shirts open
Chasin' all them silly New York virgins by the score
Sandy, the aurora is risin' behind us
Those pier lights, our carnival life forever
Oh love me tonight, for I may never see you again
Hey Sandy girl, my, my, my baby.
Sandy, the waitress I was seein' lost her desire for me
I spoke with her last night, she said she won't set herself
On fire for me, anymore
For telling fortunes better than they do
For me this boardwalk life is through
You outta quit this scene, too
Sandy, the aurora is risin' behind us
Those pier lights, our carnival life forever
Oh love me tonight, for I may never see you again
Hey Sandy girl, my, my, my baby.
Oh I mean it Sandy girl
Oh, my, my, my baby,
Oh I love you Sandy girl,
My, my, my baby...

Air Supply Sandy Comments
Come on now guys!! They didn't do to many of other peoples music if you remember!! Graham wrote most all their music only a very few got another person on it!! And frank esler smith did the music part where graham wrote the words!! Air supply proved time and again they could stand alone and they did just that and I'm proud of them! That's why they are my favorite group of all time!! Listen and enjoy OK!!
"4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)", often known just as "Sandy", is a 1973 song by Bruce Springsteen. Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band members Roy Bittan on keyboards and Max Weinberg on drums performed on Air Supply's 1983 hit "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All". Air Supply recorded "Sandy" as a way of saying thank you to Springsteen and his bandmates.
I prefer this over Bruce Springsteen who originally wrote and sang the song.
this is from their self entitled 1986 album Air Supply it is available on CD. this album also included the hits power of love and just as I am
It was released in 1985.
Air Supply did this song better then Springsteen and wrote it!
Beautiful.
I like the Air Supply version better than the Bruce Springsteen
Amo esta canción, gracias Air
I agree that this is a horrible cover. Not a song meant for them.

Russell in his prime
Hermosa canción Sandy del dueto australiano air supply la tengo desde 1985 cuando compré el LP
I think this is one of their better songs, always have. To bad it isn't one most of the cd's for Air Supply fans.
I got to meet Russell Hitchcock once in my life , got to see them twice and now we're all getting grey. I loved our 60's-80's music. We are the luckiest generation for the tunes!
me recuerda a mis años increíbles y nostálgicos de mi vida
I didn't like the "silly New York virgins" line, as I think it's pretty disrespectful and bad tasted...Other wise, it's a so so, okay song...It obviously doesn't go with them.
