I just picked this up a couple days ago...and this is definitely their heaviest album!!! Definitely not the vibe of The Darkest Red....but this is a more aggressive thrashy with lots of black metal hints!!

I love The Agony Scene but this is so boring to me. I loved them for their sound from the Darkest Red (one of my favorite albums ever) but a lot of people seem to like this so good for them.

They're definitely straying away from the typical metalcore formula, and there seems to be a good deal of black metal elements on this album. All the same, definitely digging the new sound and that they didn't soften at all over the past decade

I don't like this at all, I've tried the whole new album....it's definitely their most ambitious departure from their old sound, but it's so disjointed, clunky, and devoid of groove, 70 percent of the record is momentum killing blast beats. I can see why people might dig this, the sound evolution is more in tunes to their fans taste nowadays. Only one song on the entire album leaves any impression and that's "Mechanical Breath"

lukeslayer I met him and Chris in Grand Junction, CO in 2004, both such cool dudes. I met Mike before their set and was right in front when they went on, he kept handing me the Mic. Such a cool dude and this band holds such a special place in my heart.
