Sorry but i still cant get into this band with vicky, the song itself is ok.

Usually I don't write comments. This time I simply must. I'm a metalhead for nearly 30 years. I wasn't a huge fan of The Agonist, until now. I enjoyed some of the older tracks (like Business suits and combat boots with Alyssa) and some after Vicky joined the band (like Gates of horn and ivory). When I've pressed play to listen to Orphans, I instantly started to bang my head... and so it was until the very last second of the album. After all those years of listening to tons of metal, it's not an easy task to impress me. This album is a f***in masterpiece. I was waiting for a weaker track while listening, but.. nope, sorry. It's perfectly complete as a whole. The tracks vary pretty much, but and each every one fits in perfectly. The emotions that this album evokes are beyond words to describe. It's agressive, dark, but so uplifting and energetizing at the same time. Everything is just perfectly in place. Starting with Vicky's vocals which became so expressive now, with all the techniques used being perfect - melodic, pugnacious, all so true while's she's singing clean. Her growling also came to another level, and when she goes to her lower growling, the devil himself sh*ts his pants and runs away scared. Those who expected her to fail when she took over Alyssa's place were so wrong. In my eyes, Vicky just joined the all-time hall fame of female metal queens. Besides, the band has improved and evolved in a such a great manner, avoiding losing their own style, but still going forward. Also the guitars are at a new level now imho. Astounding riffs, great solos here and there keep the album rolling like an unstoppable tank. Last, but not least, the drums - same as with vocals and guitars, level up. Altogether, this album is a strong 9/10 (just because they'll release a new one and I'll run out of scale) and a very strong candidate for the LP of the year. There's only one downside, it just ends too fast. \m/

These bands always have a way to get awesome brutal female vocalists.....This is one of them....

The riffs are still as good as with Alissa, but I personally can't get behind Vicky's vocals. Alissa had an amazing clean an amazing growl and scream. It's a shame she's no longer with the band. I feel like she was better off with the Agonist than Arch Enemy

Hell ya! Rockin tune! The band will always kill it, regardless...vocals though, um. Yeah, other people have said it, but it doesn't seem to fit somehow. It sounds slightly better with just audio and no video, but hmm...I don't know.

Están mezclando elementos de los trabajos anteriores con alissa y cosas del primer álbum con vicky, el estilo vocal es peculiar, ya que los guturales se escuchan secos, dándole un toque de brutalidad, aunque haya cierto punto pierde cuerpo e intensidad, las guitarrastienen mucho que dar,se escuchan muchas propuestas buenas dentro de la canción, algo dispersas, pero al final no suenan mal.
Por ahora van bien.

However this song will be included into my ringtone with In Vertigo. Cause I had In Vertigo and Jinjer's Teacher Teacher but cause of the new songs coming out. I can put two The Agonist songs.
