Mikael Akerfeldt probally will aprove it. This sound has mutch feeling in its melodies. Opeth has some sound like it, for exemple Pattern in the Ivy ||. Fuck if is not metal, it is a sound that touch a soul, the music does not need to be always "brutal", sometimes we need music to think about or just for feel.

Instead of being like "omg this song is not metal-omg so lame" Listen to the music and read the lyrics... You have brains you know. Oh you also have hearts and within both you have feelings. It's not "un-metal" to be real. They produced this song with all of the above. Have some love, there is always love. \m/

Someone's been listening to Opeth :) Awesome. I have to admit, when Alissa went to Arch Enemy, I was furious, because Arch Enemy and her don't fit together at all, and I thought that was the end of The Agonist, but it looks like I was wrong. They're alive and well, sounding as good and even more creative than ever.

Pretty good... She's a hell of a singer! Needs practice on the harsh vocals on the concerts that I saw here in YouTube, but still it's nice. She is doing a hell of a job in The Agonist, keep metal!

Sorry but this song is boring as hell. There's just nothing interesting in it and it sounds like it's composed without any real inspiration. This is like "we still have to put some more songs to our new album so lets fill it up fast with something" ... And yeah, I don't know what they have done in the studio, or how long have they been there, for Vicky's singing in live shows is so much worse... it lacks lots of power, breath, technique, lots of words and voice. And she should also move on the stage! Sorry but they should really change the singer to someone with real passion and talent.

VIcky definitely has talent and the band is definitely in good hands, but I have to say, I still prefer Alissa. Her screams had a little more power and depth to them (and then there's the growls, mother of god, the growls), and her voice just had a nicer, more pleasing tone to me. I just hope that on future Arch Enemy tracks, Alissa is able to sing and not let that beautiful voice of hers go to waste.

Great stuff, Her voice is different from Alyssa, but I like it better. Her range is lower and I think it leads to more emotion. They are back to the intensity from Only once Imagined. Im sorry but Prisoners kinda felt forced. Maybe because Alyssa was already moving on, I dont know, but this album has the moments that give me chills.

+Andres Iraci What's funny about people playing instruments is there's a lot of them who'll just stick to one style, a "pure" style, but they'll never experiment anything else. As a guitarist, I can tell that experimenting is a lot more fun than just playing one style, over and over, because in the end, who doesn't like a change once in a while, eh?
