AFI - Wake-Up Call Lyrics

If I had my way I'd wish them away,
but I can't find the magic inside of me.
I'll give my best, cause I can give no more,
but your problems aren't solved so easily.
I'm not someone that you should run to.
I've been, often, as broken as you,
more often than you'd like me to.
If I could heal all the pain that you feel,
I'd gladly cure all that ails you inside.
Unfortunately, I have no degree and I can not anesthetize.
I'm not someone that you should run to.
I've been, often, as broken as you,
more often than you'd like me to.
whoa!
I wish that I could help you.
whoa!
I can't even help myself.
whoa!
It seems you need a saving grace and a savior's something I'm not.
right! whoa!
I wish that I could help you.
whoa!
I can't even help myself.
whoa!
It seems you need a saving grace and a savior's something I'm not.

If I had my way I'd wish them away
But I can't find the magic inside of me
I'll give my best, 'cause I can give no more
But your problems aren't solved so easily

I'm not someone that you should run to
I've been often as broken as you
More often than you'd like me to

If I could heal all the pain that you feel
I'd gladly cure all that ails you inside
    Unfortunately, I have no degree
    And I can not anesthetize

I'm not someone that you should run to
I've been often as broken as you
More often than you'd like me to

I wish that I could help you
    I can't even help myself
It seems you need a saving grace
    And a savior's something I'm not
    Right

I wish that I could help you
    I can't even help myself
It seems you need a saving grace
    And a savior's something I'm not

jack sloan sang this in 1997 ! shit was real

  9. J.... S....

I believe that this is a song that Jesus, if reincarnated, would sing to his mainstream followers.

  10. J.... B....

Wish they would go back to these wicked roots!

    J.... B....

  14. S.... L....

Yeah, I guess if you were lucky enough to know AFI before they had mainstream success, it would be kinda shocking. I found them with Sing the Sorrow and worked my way backwards.

    S.... L....

Same and I am honestly just a little weirded out

  15. M.... ....

dude you go from this to who the fuck knows what to call it...it hits hard.

  16. S.... L....

Every top comment on every song from every one of their earlier albums is someone whining about how they changed. *Sigh*.

    S.... L....

    Sean Linkoln not all

    S.... L....

I guess Sean likes the dixie chicks too?

  17. T.... ....

This song just popped in my head today. I tried to run from it like that guy on the album cover, but I couldn't resist. This is good stuff.

  21. A.... J....

@RPhoton why? cos they changed their image? its about the music, and they've always evolved, and played what they like

  30. p.... .....

1 dislike, i think someone was expecting emo shit

    p.... .....

paul .. I was, but I kinda like this. I was not the one who disliked it

  31. d.... ....

I love this album, I love everything AFI has done, I don't care that they changed because thats why I love them so much because they have the skill and talent to create amazing music no matter what genre they are. AFI WAS AMAZING, STILL IS AMAZING, AND WILL FOREVER BE AMAZING!!!!! <3

  32. B.... C....

@joleflifl Actually, the first two years or so of it, it was pretty much an underground tour. If I'm not mistaken, many of the venues were even free. I know I went to it, in different cities, for free during the first two years. Don't get me wrong, I hate what it has become, and I haven't been since 99 when things really started going commercial.

  33. B.... S....

@livinndarkness i agree wit all u sed except for Municipal Waste..they are great thrash..the new album is amazing..all the shit they have is great

  34. S.... W....

    what a fucking classic album

  35. B.... ....

Wait a minute...are you saying Municipal Waste isn't good anymore? I'm sorry, but are you fucking joking? Massive Aggressive is a great album, their songwriting keeps getting better and better.

  36. B.... C....

Blink 182 were doing the indie/punk thing for years before they got big. They played Warped when it was still a commercial free event - Where the only booths were small merch booths by the bands themselves. Oh how those were the days. But yeah, Blink did change. I'd say Chesire Cat was a pop punk album - then Mark got all emo from that point on

  37. c.... ....

    their old stuff was though

  38. g.... ....

afi was at their best during black sails in the sunset, all hallow's ep, and the art of drowning.

    g.... ....

    Agreed.

  39. S.... K....

    pipiansudado007
